If that's true, then Rey is a damn fool for not going to Andrews. Just imagine how much of his injuries could be indirectly attributed to this quack.

Hopefully Rey can get a huge medical malpractice settlement from Dr. Chao's insurance company out of this.

He's got WWE telling him "we will pay for the best surgeon on the planet to do this" And Mysterio says "nope! this guy Chao is way better! And he's from the 619, if I don't use him it's a total gimmick killer."
Sounds pretty dumb from a distance. Maybe he could've avoided 3 or 4 of the surgeries in his left knee.

I can understand Rey wanting a surgeon closer to home. Andrews is based out of Alabama, that's a hell of a commute when you're banged up.
But, there IS a reason practically every collegiate & professional athlete sees him when they're injured.

To be fair to Rey, it's not like he picked this guy out of a phone-book, he was the doctor for an NFL team. I don't think it was unreasonable to assume he knew what he was doing.

Maybe, but if the E is willing to pay for you to have surgery with the BEST orthopedic surgeon in the world, why would you go to this other guy just because it's close to home?

Really? Some guy literally one letter away from being called "Dr.Chaos" may have had not entirely unsupervillainly intentions? You don't say.

Would have been funnier if Rey had been operated on by Dr. Cheung of CHIKARA fame.

I also thought it was another wellness. Still it's not like this guy is Dr. Nick Riviera, and unless there is definitive proof he botched Rey's surgeries and it led to further injuries, I don't think it's as bad as it's being portrayed. Still, if WWE is willing to pay for you to go to one of the best, you take it, unless there was a darn good reason for Rey wanting to go to someone else.

At least, he didn't choose Dr. Tom Prichard to operate on him. He's just a doctor of desire, anyway.

Guys, you do realize we may have permanently lost Rey as a full-time active wrestler over something this stupid right?

It would been better if Dr Nick operated on his knee.

Dammit Rey, you even botched picking a doctor!
Alternate joke: Obviously Rey asked Sin Cara to pick a doctor, so Cara pointed at a name in the phone book. Looks like he botched that too!

Guys, you do realize we may have permanently lost Rey as a full-time active wrestler over something this stupid right? Judging from this, basically. In fact, Rey could've actually avoided repeat surgeries. The real sad part is that Rey got his surgery with this guy in his 619 DVD, showing what was basically the root of the problem. He was an NFL surgeon, but I think Chargers fans can probably cite that he didn't do that good of a job with repeat injuries. There's knowing what you're doing, and doing it so it doesn't ever have to be done again. I know it's easier said than done, but the long-term ramifications become clearer as time goes on.
