What are wrestlers that you hate when they're by themselves but, love them in a team or stable?
For current wrestlers it has to be The Miz. Liked him with Morrison and loved him in Awesome Truth but, The Miz solo can't get off my screen fast enough.
For past wrestlers its Billy Gunn. I've been a fan of Billy Gunn tag teams going all the way back to The Smoking Gunns.
My favorite team being the New Age Outlaws. But, I've never cared for Billy whenever they gave him a singles push.
What are your picks?

Sean O'Haire. Always loved him as a tag team guy but when WWE attempted to push him as a singles guy in like 03 it was just boring to me. Ditto for Palumbo as well.
Bryan Clarke from WCW I would include here also. Wrath for me was boring but Bryan Clarke and Brian Adams as KroniK were awesome.
Matt Hardy could count here also. He's a very average singles guy but throw him in a team and he's pretty decent. I'd also like to mention Christopher Daniels also.

I hate Shawn Michaels singles. The only time I liked him a little was when he was with Sherri. But for 98% of his singles career I hated him.
But I love the Rockers.

Hernandez. He's a really fun tag team wrestler but can't really carry his own weight as a singles wrestler.

The Young Bucks by themselves are pretty meh, but together they are incredible.

Hernandez. He's a really fun tag team wrestler but can't really carry his own weight as a singles wrestler. Honestly I only liked him with Homicide. Everyone else he teamed with just wasn't the same. To the post I honestly agree with everyone besides HBK, the guy was amazing in his second run. 02 until retirement. Daniels was awesome alone.

Very much the same on Billy Gunn; not really a fan of his outside the New Age Outlaws. Also, despite not really caring for the Rock by himself, I'm a big fan of the Rock 'n' Sock Connection.

I wouldn't say I "hate" their singles work, but Marty Jannetty, Ricky Morton, Butch Reed, and Tugboat/Typhoon worked much better in tag teams, for me.

Edge and Christian. They were just lacking as singles guys. But as a tag, they were fantastic. I want to like Christian, but it just isn't there.
Matt and Jeff Hardy. Same as Edge and Christian. I have no idea why Jeff is popular. He bores me to death.
Although, I didn't like Bret Hart as a singles guy back in the day, but he won me over with great matches.

I wouldn't say I hated them as singles, but Paul London and Billy Gunn always seemed better in tag matches than singles.

I have no idea why Jeff is popular. He bores me to death. I liked Edge and Christian as singles guys. What I like about Christian is that he slowly tweak his character over the years while still retaining much have that same goofy charisma he had in E&C up until leaving for TNA. Edge, while more successful, had a total personality transplant. Agreed with you on the Hardys to some extent. Not sure what people see in Jeff, but I have to say that I really enjoyed Matt as a singles guy.

They're doing the right thing with giving Swagger a partner in Cesaro. Now, give JTG a partner and we'd be alright.
(Edit: Miz, too. Tag-team partners are the "new managers", and Miz thrived with having someone at his side.)

I agree with most of what's here already, but the one that immediately came to mind is Rhett Titus. Loved ANX, but I feel so very meh about Rhett in singles matches.

Harlem Heat was great. Stevie Ray singles matches were dire.

I agree with the new age outlaws. I also never really cared for Perry Saturn as a solo act but I loved The Eliminators

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. He was great in the Hart Foundation, sucked as a singles guy.

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. He was great in the Hart Foundation, sucked as a singles guy. Came to post this. In tag matches, Neidhart is phenomenal as a dangerous shithead heel or a tank wrecking machine face (especially off the hot tag). But as singles guy, he's horribly boring and unimpressive. And I definitely disagree about any mentions of either of the Rockers. They are both at the very least good singles wrestlers
