Yeah Nestle all those PPV's have been with a group of friends I watched with. That's one thing I miss. It used to be really exciting to watch as me and my friends would either watch it together, call each other up when something great happened or talk about it the next day (even at work or school). We don't have that excitement happening anymore which prevents most of that stuff from happening and in return makes me enjoy it a little less I think.

HUSTLE made me interessed in wrestling "for real" because it showed me that it´s about having fun and enjoying the show, nothing more, nothing less.

Coming to this site keeps me somewhat interested, but not like I was when WCW was at its prime. I was damn near obsessed. I stopped watching around 1999 when I was 14. I started playing sports and got in the habit of not watching. I started watching a little when the invasion angle happened and in '03 but its not the same.

I've been a fan of wrestling since I was about 5 (I'm 23 right now). After Backlash this year, I dropped wrestling. Backlash completely killed my interest in wrestling.
Then, this past October, I had my birthday. My friends from college decided to get together, pitch in, and fly me out to hang out with them and see CHIKARA live (Cibernetico) for my birthday.
This doesn't really help your situation, but I wanted to share that:
a.) Breaks are cool sometimes. If you ain't enjoying the wrestling, then why bother?
b.) I have the coolest friends in the whole friggin' world.

I burned out once or twice in these past few years; what I did is I switched styles. I went from liking super spotty stuff, to a mat based style, then lucha, then puro, then lucha again, and then CHIKARA.
Try getting into other styles instead. Or take a break, your idea works too, I spose.

I agree with the idea that everyone gets burned out for a time here and there. I myself am in the odd position of hardly ever being able to watch TV wrestling except for Smackdown once a month or so. I actually think it has been good for me, although I watch online stuff when I can. But for me posting here and actually going to live indy matches has been a good way to be a fan for now.

I've been feeling the same way. I barley watch ECW and TNA anymore. I usually have it on in the background. I still watch SD and Raw because I like both shows. But watching ECW/TNA feels like a chore sometimes. Then I watch Joe/Kobashi again and I have faith in wrestling.

I guess I'm not really one to answer this, but I thought I would give it a shot. I would just at least try and watch things (matches or more specifically companies) that you've never seen. Try IVPvideos.com. Prices range from 2.99 to 8.99 and they have a wide variety of stuff. I ordered really old school stuff and some new stuff last time. Some of it I loved and some of it I hated, but it was something different. Something that wasn't the weekly Impact or even the ROH DVD. And even if it SUCKED (KOTDM 95!) it was something that I was unfamiliar with, and wasn't used to, so it was like a brand new experience. I guess that's my attempt at original advice. Hope it helps.

Some of the more old school WMs (I-III) are starting to pique my interest again, which is odd, because I was never an old school mark

I burned out this Christmas break, I just stopped watching wrestling for the most part except all the CHIKARA stuff on YouTube and the PCS videos. I think it's just the time of year for me though, instead of a whole full-on burnout.
