He would be powerless against the laws of nature. And would have to hang there helplessly *the magnet would be attached to a giant crane* as the day was lost.

Because Lex Luthor and Ironman are in two completely different universes.

Iron man armor isn't made of iron.

Magneto jobbed to a wodden gun, he could get beat by a tin man too. I'm sure Led Luthor is smart enough to make a magnet that works against iron man.

Eh, if Luthor really did have such a powerful instrument at his disposal he would just use it in the theft of icing covered baked consumables, I'd wager he'd be able to steal about maybe forty percent of the hundred or so kept at the Metropolis bakery.

Iron Man's armour has been "magetetic-proof" almost since he was created.

Iron Man's armour has been "magetetic-proof" almost since he was created. except in those rare times when he and Magneto are on the same page and suddenly he isn't.

To be fair, I think Magneto just has telekinesis and is too stupid to realize it isn't magnetism. I mean the guy says stuff like "as long as there is a single molecule of iron in the air, I am master!" His "magnetic force field" also seems capable of blocking very non-magnetic things like optic blasts, streams of fire, and various other energy attacks.

And while we're at it, why doesn't Superman just punch Dr. Doom's head off and rid the F4 of a huge burden?

Why can't Lex Luger just use a giant magnet against Iron Man?

Why can't Lex Luger just use a giant magnet against Iron Man? Because it would detect his steel forearm rod and turn the tables on him.

Why can't Lex Luger just use a giant magnet against Iron Man? It sticks to the plate in his forearm.

I just want to know why Batman doesn't take the Joker out back and put a Bat bullet in his brain? Surely killing one guy that has killed tons of people and will kill tons more wouldn't violate his personal code.

Surely killing one guy that has killed tons of people and will kill tons more wouldn't violate his personal code. Batman's code is almost creepy OCD on his part. it's totally understandable why he hasn't. why the REST of the world hasn't, though is another question entirely (it's one of the reasons Stormwatch got turned into a cosmic team; if they were on earth with their door tech, Midnighter could just port to gotham and kill the Clown before he even saw him coming, and then disappear before anyone knew what happened).
