Supposedly it's better for you because it allows your feet to flex as they normally would, the downside is that you look like a moron.

I kinda want a pair. Yes, they're weird looking, but they look so freaking comfy!

Half the people I work with have them. Half the people I work with look like idiots. These may or may not correlate.

Get the Vibram 5 finger brand. They fit best. The problem with them is that people wear them like crocs. Don't wear them when going out to eat or to the grocery store or at work. Do wear them when working out, at the beach, or camping I found them to be wonderful. I've had mine for over two years and love them, but kinda hate how they've become the new trash shoe.
Buy from a walk in store not online. You really need to try them on your shoe size isn't necessarily you're five finger size. Also you can just throw them in the washing machine so they are almost like brand new and mine have no odors after 2 years.

I guess Tabi are sort of like these but if you had ninja turtle toes.

I have a homie who owns a pair and uses them for working out. Never thought they would be worn out in public on some everyday shit.

They're actually terrible for your feet and not recommended at all by doctors. Do your due diligence before purchase.

They're actually terrible for your feet and not recommended at all by doctors. Do your due diligence before purchase. That's not entirely true. well.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/09/30/are-barefoot-shoes-really-better/?_r=0They shouldn't really be looked at as regular shoes. It's like wearing weight lifting gloves for winter gloves and saying they don't work. They really should be a specialty purchase and how they came to become lazyman shoes is kinda a tragedy. Somebody wearing Vibrams in the mall is like someone wearing golf shoes to me. You can't just put them on and expect them to change how you walk, which is what they were designed to do, change how people run and walk to reduce damage, however most of us grew up with soled shoes and need to relearn how to walk natural.

The people I know who have them seem to love them, but you def don't have to spend $60 on them. At least around here they're on sale at nearly every discount store
