That was stupid. They should have had Angle attack him and break the trophy.

so Joe is legitimately hurt so instead of putting the match off so he can maybe heal himself a bit they're gonna rush the 3rd match?

That was stupid. They should have had Angle attack him and break the trophy. Then he could attack the poor old lady in the crowd. How's that for piledriving Ms. Daisy!?

Kurt Angle = Ultimate heel They wanted him to be like Steve Austin in 1997, but Steve Austin in 1997 wouldn't do this. Great heelness from Angle. Do something Joe as well. My god, even if I had a bad leg, I'd jump out to get him. Austin crippled Brian Pillman instead.

so Joe is legitimately hurt so instead of putting the match off so he can maybe heal himself a bit they're gonna rush the 3rd match? This was taped a few weeks ago and Joe has a good 5 weeks to heel his injury because he's not actively worked since hurting it so he can be ready for this match.

Just for the record, tonight's show was taped last week. I still think they're rushing it.

They are still trying to pack too much angle/interview stuff in for an hour show but tonight was still good, every segment worked even the Dudleys. They just need more match-time, Hoyt and Roode can work, they should've gotten to do-so.
Nutso Kurt is great, they are smart to go over-the-top to make him heelish. This gives his character more depth and opens-up more options in where to go with the rubbermatch.
Christian is so much better since the turn, JJ should've stepped-aside sooner so Christian can work his magic. Tomko is good at what they have him for. He doesn't have the charisma that took Nash from bodyguard to singles-star but he definitely has presence to pull-off the badazz enforcer personna.

So (since I don't have cable at home) did the dreaded Very Kurmudgeon-y Men make an appearance?

I forgot about VKM, they did show-up, so almost every segment was a hit. They basically went to the WWE show and got some folks outside to agree that some WWE stuff sucked and to chant TNA in order to get on tv.

Okay, I caught about the last twenty minutes of Impact, and watched with my brother (who doesn't follow wrestling much, laughs at how stupid a lot of angles are, but still asks questions, so I guess there's some interest there).
Anyway, here's what I (and sorta what he) thought:
I'm surprised Canadian Destroyer got move of the year again. It's a cool move, but it's lost some of it's luster since Petey wasn't as big of character as he was in previous years.
That broad can't act! Y'know, the one that got her ankle hurt ('cause he's a Sexy Kurt). She was laughable.
My brother dug the Spiral Tap in the recap video at the end. Which is cool, cause I like Styles. There may be hope for my older bro yet.
Atreyu for the recap video was cool.

Nice to know my assessment of it based on the description of YouTube was correct (that it would suck big-time as have all their skits)
