* = Triple H & X-Pac & Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn vs Rock & Cactus Jack & Rikishi Phatu & Too Cool
There is a reason why Triple H is listed in alot of the matches I put down, cause he was in his prime in this year.
And the WWF put on alot of good matches this year. There are matches I didnt even list which are good such as Triple H vs Benoit at No Mercy and Benoit vs Jericho 2/3 falls at Summerslam.

HHH-Cactus Jack RR 2000. Great match and the setting for MSG was used perfectly. Top 5 matches imo to date.

The Hardyz Vs The Dudleyz - Table Match - Royal Rumble
As much as I loved Cactus/Trips from RR, the table match just topped it for me

How about HHH Vs Rock at Backlash? The drama was just unbelievable. Double Rock bottom to Shane and HHH through announcers table, Stone Cold returns after 6 month absence and the crowd goes f***ing nuts, chairshots to Vince, Shane, Patterson, Briscoe, HHH. Linda returns with reinstated Earl Hebner who counts the fall. A real mark out match

Stone Cold returns after 6 month absence and the crowd goes huging Don't you mean Big Gut Austin? ...I voted for HHH/Jack from Rumble. The match was great, brutal and brought out a side of HHH previously unseen. That being he would go to any stops to retain the title and damage his opponent.

Benoit/Regal from the Pillman Tribute Show. One of the finest technically sound matches, of not just a single year, but of all the times.

Always loved the Triple H vs Cactus Jack HIAC. A brutal match with a great story to it. Would have liked to see Mick win, though.

I woulda put cactus vs the h man for the match of the year but they grab fake barb wire from behind the announcer desk when the ref took it away so it just killed it for me. so rock on 3 way ladder match.
