I imagined the title of this thread as the front page of the National Enquirer or something.

IMO Evans is ten times better since going to Dragon Gate. Actually, insanely better.

IMO Evans is ten times better since going to Dragon Gate. Actually, insanely better. We have a winner. Since Jack started training in the dojo over there, he's upped his game to a sick degree, and, for his benefit, he's done a ton of work to improve his mat game and strike offense. He's still a high-flier of the highest magnitude (and a bang-up guy), but now that he's improved in various aspects of his style, it's going to help him cut back from turning to highspots as often as he would have before. It really shows, too; his match against Davey Richards at Glory By Honor V, Night 2 was a good example of where Jack's taking his style, and it works pretty damn well.

Working in Dragon Gate will help him in the long run, but he could still that bad moment, just like anyone else. At CZW's Cage of Death 6, he missed a bunch of tables from the top of the cage and cracked his skull open. That's probably the worst he's been hurt.

But, the point is, with the improvements made in Dragon Gate, his chances of serious injury will go down. Yes, anyone could potentially have a career-ending injury at any time, from any given move going awry, but as Jack polishes what he does, he'll execute better, and thus minimize injury risks.

Jack in that Glory By Honorn2 match was not the same Jack from a few years ago. It's insane how much that guy is improving.

I've seen at least maybe two of his Dragon Gate matches...granted one of them went for only about six minutes, and was a ladder match, but still...
But the other one I saw, against Masato Yoshino, that was really good.

As much as I love his work, I really do worry about Jack Evans's well being. I remember the first time I watched the bump in question, it's extremely worrying.

He's incredibly lucky he hit off the cage on the way down; even if it only barely slowed his momentum, it may have saved him from ending up a lot worse.
The scary thing is that, while he was obviously set up to take a sick bump, that wasn't even him going for one of his big moves; it was just a total accident.

Too many careers are cut short when workers work a high-risk style. The "HOLY SH**" chants aren't worth it.

I have always liked Jack Evans but my one complaint about him was that he was to big of a spot monkey. He also did really crappy lockups. I am glad to hear he has been Improving because I love his character and His flippy moves make me happy.

I've been watching his Dragon Gate stuff & it doesn't seem too crazy, in ROH he's just nuts. I love it though.

Glad to hear he's improving his mat work. I like Jack Evans. I've liked him ever since Punk called him "Flip Master Plex!"

he hasn't seriously hurt anyone, or himself yet. I don't think he's nearly as reckless as you guys seem to think

The Manny Fernandez Reciept has to be one of the sickest things I have seen. That was just brutal.
