Paige is getting an unintentional benefit of being so young (and thus not really getting called up to main WWE shows until she 'matures' if dirtsheet rumors are to be believed). She gets to be the star in an actual legit-book women's wrestling division, and doesn't have to waste time with propaganda like the 'Total Divas' cross-promotion or perhaps the worst offender-- the "You get a Women's Title Run if you pose in PlayBoy" carrot that often got dangled in the past. Paige's top two Divas' contenders to her NXT title Summer and Paige are sick over (compare this to AJ and Kaitlyn's quiet matches when they fight other Divas) and then there's Nature Girl Baby Flair contortioning her way to win after win to be perhaps the third Top Female Face that NXT has successfully raised. Compare these faces to Kelly Kelly, or Torrie or Tori, or Asssshleeeyyyy (yes they've all been in PlayBoy too) and you can see the night/day way that being in NXT is versus a 'full-time' Diva.
No wonder Alicia Fox and Natty don't mind coming down to NXT to job to the rookies so much, considering. Anything to be around a well booked female wrestling segment for once!

perhaps the worst offender-- the "You get a Women's Title Run if you pose in PlayBoy" carrot that often got dangled in the past. None of those Divas ever got a Women's title run save for Candice, but that was a couple of years after she posed. Sable was champion already when she posed Torrie Wilson never held the Women's title Christy Hemme never held the title Ashley Massarro never held the title Maria never held the title. Try doing some basic fact checking before posting something like that.

Or... did you actually think the horse is ever supposed to 'get' the carrot? They all certainly got title shots, very close to their PlayBoy debuts for SOME SUSPICIOUS REASON hmmmm

The times Torrie posed she wasn't on the show that had the Women's title and Maria never had a title shot. What you really mean is they all got a push as a result of posing in Playboy as they should have.

If Maria never got a title shot, then sure I'll retract my previous claim that they all did receive one.
I'm still waiting for you to show me how the quote you provided is "wrong" though.
"perhaps the worst offender-- the "You get a Women's Title Run if you pose in PlayBoy" carrot that often got dangled in the past. "
You seem to be glossing over key words like "perhaps" and "often" in my comments-- I never explicitly state that this is part of WWE's business model for pushing every Diva of the past era. There are glaring consistencies between the 'PlayBoy'/'Puppies!' era and the joke of a Division the current product is on the main shows, however. If you feel this hypothesis is 'wrong', please state your reasons by all means!

Almost 9 months after she posed so hardly a result of her being in Playboy. It also went about 2 minutes. "'You get a Women's Title Run if you pose in PlayBoy'" That right there is a false statement. Candice Michelle is the only one who got it and it happened a year and a half later so it obviously wasn't because of Playboy. You're inferring that WWE management told the Divas they'd get a run with the title if they posed. Given that none of them did at the time their respective magazines came out proves that's a wrong statement. They got a push and a Mania match. That's it.

Staying on topic, I can't wait for Emma to move up to the main roster. I hope she gets over with the crowd like she does with the NXT audience

Does anyone have any footage of this? I don't really have a way to watch NXT but people rave over it, especially the females. You have the internet. You have a way to watch. I download and watch the show every week.

Given that none of them did at the time their respective magazines came out proves that's a wrong statement. They got a push and a Mania match. That's it. It's completely not a false statement. What it is is a false quote since you continue to neglect the word "carrot" at the end-- I thought we covered this before-- most of these women were never gonna get a run at the title (as meaningless as it was made before being retired, even). If they were given a title shot at a PPV that's more than most'll ever get from management. At best it's a sign that they're considering you as Diva's/Women's champ in the future or in case of injury/illness. Huge considering most wrestlers go their entire career without one match on a PPV, let alone a title shot for the highest championship. Candice pulled it off successfully, and despite the reality of the other Divas who posed never making the transition to the belt they would see Candice's success as their 'carrot' quite easily. Another 'carrot' is Ashley Massaro winning the "Divas Invitational" title and then immediately feuding with the Women's Champ after posing. While it hurt the Division credibility in the long run it's the ultimate proof that posing for PlayBoy can at least get you on a PPV card. By the way, I'm completely "inferring" everything here-- this is all my speculation based on personal observation. I doubt there are any WWE officials posting in this thread though, so I'm pretty sure everyone else is speaking in the conjectural as well.

I would take Emma over the entire Divas roster. She has more charisma than any of them outside of AJ. I'd say more. She's gotten over with her looks hardly even being part of the equation. Could Paige say the same? Can AJ? I'd say the answer to both is a resounding "no" (and I really like Paige, so, no accusations of haterade pls). Women's wrestling needs more Emmas. Most definitely. I think she's attractive, but it's not a focal point of her character by far. And in the words of DDP, that's not a bad thing, that's a good thing!

It's a great show. Summer has really been impressing me recently, I was actually going to start a thread about her but I may as well put it here. She just gets it. She can be a bit pantomime at times (I think the NXT officials like that) but she's good at the subtleties as well. She's a great valet for Fandango and her act on Smackdown was brilliant; she adds to his act without drawing focus away. I remember Summer was a fan before getting signed and that's obvious from her character work. She was also the star of this segment too. I'm not enamoured with Emma (en-Emma-oured?) as many are, although I enjoy the dance and do it at random intervals.
