I'm not usually one to complain, and I'm getting the game no matter what, but it does seem ridiculous that they want people to preorder and they still haven't released half of the roster. Although I'm not much of a gamer, so this could be common practice for all I know. It's just to promote their pre-order bonus. No harm there. Not like it costs any extra.

I mean if someone buys the game based on the roster or gameplay modes, which they still haven't completely revealed yet. So if you're one of those guys but you want the Warrior or the Undertaker edition, you have to order based on faith.

Plus, when you consider that THIS is supposedly next-gen graphics, these games don't look so bad. To be fair...there a different between a cartoon style model and a model that supposed to be somewhat realistic.

Cartoon style or not, the graphics there are very blocky, and you can see the straight edges of things that are meant to be curved.

A game on the Wii and the Wii ran on what was last gen hardware. That isn't even close to a fair comparison.

So far as I'm aware, that's actually is from the upcoming Smash Brothers game for the Wii U. EDIT: Yep, it is. Pretty daunting.

Doesn't look that much better than Brawl on Wii, to be honest. This is from PSASBR on the PS3: Probably just bad screenshots...

Wii U isn't a "real" next gen console and Nintendo consoles are hardly ever used for comparison purposes with their generations PlayStation & XBox. Nintendo has it's own approach and that one is a lot different than what other two companies offer.
I don't really see any value in that Mario screenshot as a pointer how WWE would look on next gen.

I'm just saying that there are well regarded games coming out for consoles that are meant to be more powerful than the current ones, with graphics far, far worse than the WWE ones. As much as we complain, they could be a hell of a lot worse.

As much as we complain, they could be a hell of a lot worse. Except the Wii U isn't THAT much more powerful than current gen consoles. And they could(and should) be hell of a lot more better looking. We can't keep letting them get away with laziness.

When talking about WWE 14 graphics and potential WWE 15 graphics the consoles in mind are either PS3 to PS4 or XBox 360 to XBox One. You don't go and compare WWE 14 on PS3 with a possible WWE 15 game on Wii U. That's apples and oranges.

I'm not talking about next-gen WWE games. I'm saying how the current graphics aren't as bad as even some upcoming games.

I'm saying how the current graphics aren't as bad as even some upcoming games. but you're using different platforms as comparison and that's not a valid comparison. Wii has nothing on PS3. That's like comparing my IPhone 4 graphics with PS3 and that wondering why it's so much better on PS3.

So would it be unfair to compare Mass Effect 3 on the PS3 to Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U? Since they're such different platforms and all... I'm not seeing what the big issue is here.

That's different since you're comparing the same game. You were comparing two different games with two different graphical styles.

Same game, scaled to look the same.
Super Mario graphics do not serve as an example of Next gen graphics in comparison to a game that is graphically made to look realistic like WWE.

That's different since you're comparing the same game. You were comparing two different games with two different graphical styles. Graphical styles or not, you can still tell the quality of the renders. And WWE's are better than the game shown. The wrestlers don't look like every curve on their bodies are flat-edged like the screenshots there. My point with Mass Effect is that the Wii U is capable of doing games of that quality, but their flagship title still has graphics nowhere near as high quality as the ones that we have.

So Nintendo half assing it makes it okay for WWE games to half ass it? Sounds like you just want to give them a free pass for laziness.

I'm just saying that I don't think we've got it as bad as it's sometimes painted. The wrestler renders generally look really good, with cases like Booker T being the exception rather than the norm. Most of them look spot on, and the crowd's the only thing that doesn't look particularly high-res, which is understandable.
