Does Cena even have a uniform way of applying the hold? It's like he just awkwardly twists a guys leg up and proceeds to give their head something that can vacillate between a gingerly forearm hug and a straightforward headlock.
How can a guy spend a decade at the top of company, working some of the greatest performers in the history of the business, and still have so much trouble making even rudimentary moves look...not even good, but just consistently decent? I find John Cena to be utterly maddening.

While the Cena/Trips is definitely one of the best, I remember there was once a shot of Cena applying the STF to Regal. It was the time when Cena took Regal out, I want to say 2007...Cena made the most ridiculous face I've ever seen. He didn't even look human. I wish I could find it. Edit: I found a picture, but it isn't THE picture. The picture I'm looking for, has Cena's eyes scrunched closed. His face in the picture reminds me of a stack of pancakes sans the open mouth.  |
