To me it sounds like at least at this point Wale is more of a Bret Hart than a Hulk Hogan. Maybe the most offensive thing I've read since Rosenberg called CM Punk and Daniel Bryan the Mos Def and Talib Kweli of hip-hop. Not in terms of talent but in terms of like general culture awareness. I mean I don't think Hogan's a better wrestler than Bret (my all time fave!) but I also wouldn't be surprised that most people don't know who Bret Hart is even though he was on MadTv and The Simpsons that one time.

Just kidding with that last post. That particular Rosenberg quote has been stewing in my mind as of late and I haven't had a chance to put it anywhere. Wale is Nattie Neidhart if anyone. Rosenberg really said that? I mean, I could see that in like 2005, but they're the number 2 and 3 faces in American wrestling. I love Kweli, but dude's old and never did anything in the mainstream, and Mos Def has lost his mind.

Wale is a big wrestling fan and always has lines about different wrestlers throughout history.

Apparently very few, if any, people on this forum helped put him there. Speaking for myself, I don't really pay attention to that kind of thing. The majority of my favorite artists are more likely to hang out around the Bottom 200. To me it sounds like at least at this point Wale is more of a Bret Hart than a Hulk Hogan. Wale is more like a Billy Gunn

So... I guess this Wale guy isn't aware that Bad News Brown died in 2007?

I actually would like to see Otunga vs Bad News Brown... Bad News would Ghetto Blast Otunga all the way from the mean streets of Wrestling Heaven and that's good news for Bad News.

Wale is a big wrestling fan and always has lines about different wrestlers throughout history. If that's the case then WWE should let Wale do a musical performance for WM or SummerSlam one day. Or let him make a theme for someone.

Wale has had the number one album in the country, 3,000,000 Twitter followers, was on one of the longest radio charting songs of the past ten years and has been nominated for a Grammy. He's a lot of things, but absolutely NOT an unknown.

Is it too late to book Otunga and Ambrose against the ghosts of Andre and Bad News Brown at Summerslam?
Also, it's freaking stupid if this guy's name is Wale, pronounced Wall-Ay. From now on, he's Wall-E to me.

Wale is more like a Kofi Kingston than anything.
No offense to Kofi.

Even though I like Otunga, he really has no room to call people out on anything because the potential insults for him are plentiful. Here at FAN we not only celebrate ignorance, we revel in it again, and again, and again. Seriously. I take pride in this forum's ability to have great conversations at times, and then there's instances of these where many people waste posts going "Who? ?" or whatever. Why not just Like the first guy that says Who and move the hell on out the topic if you have nothing to contribute?

I've been a fan of Wale for years... he got a lot of local buzz. Even though a lot of people here don't know who he is, this is the first time I've seen that he's become more known outside of the DC/Baltimore area. I'm happy to see him find success.
LOL David Otunga.
I have no idea who Kendrick Lamar is though, so if anything, this thread is making me google that.

Yeah...to defend Wale for a second, he's nothing like a lot of idiot rappers like Lil Wayne and ASAP Rocky these days, he's a very deep and quality rapper that harkens back to the days where rap had an actual message and wasn't just about glorifying a certain lifestyle. And this feud is stupid on both sides. Eeeeh, Lil Wayne was good once and Asap Rocky is amazing. Hes rapping is decent but the beats and production is what makes Rocky so special.
