Eh, seems like Daniel Bryan is the 'Stone Cold Steve Austin' to HHH's 'Vince McMahon'. THat was the vibe I was getting too. They kind of did a proto-version of this with Punk vs Laurenitis/Vince before and they really seem to be going all out with it now.

Either D-Bry is being molded into Stone Cold or he'll wind up being Booker T'ed. I think we could be moving into a third scenario, where Bryan is the Mick Foley here; the sympathetic, unconventional, underdog babyface in the main event scene who gets brief moments in the spotlight but who loses in the end, in order to build up hatred for the heels who beat him. Of course, that means the Austin in this scenario is most likely Cena, which I imagine lots of people around here would be less than happy with. I don't know, with the way that HHH was emphasizing that D-Bry can't be the face of the company it almost seems like that's exactly what they're going for. I'll believe it when I see it though.
