Not that this board is guilty of it but a lot of women's wrestling fans are into this type of thing. The SHIMMER board is/was filled with this type of stuff and it's really creepy. I need to shower after viewing it. As for OP, I hope he's just trolling and making fun of the more extreme women wrestling fans that are out there and isn't serious. What is your problem with women's wrestling fans, especially Shimmer fans and the Shimmer proboards, I post there and I have never once seen any comment that could be seen as creepy. |

Well, this is internet wrestling fandom, so the bar was never really high to begin with. There's a difference between discussing a show you share a common passion with with respect and intelligent discourse and randomly posting your fetishes on the internet. I love this board, but it depresses the f*** out of me that good, worthwhile topics get locked because they semi-stray into religious/political talk or have controversial opinions or people aren't agreeing with one another, and meanwhile, it's cool to have people constantly making allusions (incredibly transparent ones at that) to wanting to f*** the Divas and wrestlers. I know that these issues have no direct relationship, but man, is it bad for morale. Everyone gets off to stuff and has their fetishes and quirks (God bless; live and let live), and I'm sure 99% of the board (including myself) have at one point fantasized about a Diva or wrestler. Hurray! But what does this contribute to any kind of conversation? It just makes us look like perverts and stereotypical Internet wrestling fan creeps, which I don't think does anyone any good. You're not even posting this in the Divas GIFs/pics thread, which is where all the sexual allusions and "I wish I could spear AJ, too!!!!! Hyuk hyuk hyuk" comments have a perfectly reasonable home. It would be one of thing if this was some porn board or a place called Divas Fantasy, but it's not. |

As I said, you shouldn't be offended I don't know you personally or what you post under on the SHIMMER board and you seem to be pretty tame here (As do all the women's wrestling fans on this board) but over on the SHIMMER board you have a lot (Not all) of people who obsess over these women's wrestlers and have their personal info and want to throw them birthday parties etc. It's creepy and a lot of them are like what OP is (Or is pretending to be) Anyway I don't want to start an argument so lets just agree to disagree on the topic. |
