At times, it looked like it would get messy like duel 1, but in the end it was mostly clean racing in duel 2. Cheerilee picks up the win and 3 important championship points, especially so since championship leader Snips will miss his first main race in 9 rounds. Second and 2 points went to Octavia, third and 1 point went to Screw Loose.
Joining them on Sunday are Ace, Flim, Screwball, Babs Seed, Night Light, Hoity Toity, Lemon Hearts, Mayor Mare, Princess Celestia, Diamond Tiara, Lightning Dust and Apple Bloom. Since 16th placed Truffle Shuffle did not finish within 15 seconds of Cheerilee, duel 1 16th place getter Colgate gets the final spot in the race.
Becoming ineligible for the duels next week in Mustangia are Big Macintosh, Discord and Photo Finish.

"The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000", Mark: C; An interesting take on a part of the Apple Family business, but a rather average episode. The song still isn't one of my favorites, Flim & Flam are not too interesting as villains and not much noteworthy going on.

Probably unpopular opinion time: If it's done next year, I suggest cutting down the PONYCAR roster to around the 50-60 mark. Having a roster of nearly 100 drivers is pretty insane. Maybe make a 2nd cup series that could be like the Nationwide so that the hard work doesn't go wasted? Bottom line: Overhaul needs to be done.

Yeah, I'm probably thinking about a few changes for next season... Probably won't run it in sync with the real NASCAR season next year... I'll run everywhere once. Also, I'll probably be changing the duel system to eliminate the ineligibility possibilities, not to mention getting the other manufacturers in there and possibly shorter races. Probably won't be cutting down the numbers, though. |
