TNA is going places. They just needed to create cap space first.

Just putting Taryn Terrell back on TV would make the division seem bigger than it is.

People have been saying that the talent pool is thin. Hell no! I can name 30 wrestlers that would be a great addition for TNA. The problem they face however is the old guard. If Hogan leaves in October they can almost restart and put emphasis back on the X Division and the Knockouts.

This does seem like the start of a new plan in TNA though. I won't at all be surprised if TNA looks much different within a year or so. If the AJ negotiations are ongoing it's kind of a sign of things to come, in the past Dixie would lock AJ up with little in the way of negotiations. I'd guess that virtually all of the high dollar guys will be on their way out or be offered much lower contracts during negotiations. I could be wrong, but that's how it appears to me.

Just putting Taryn Terrell back on TV would make the division seem bigger than it is. She's preggers right now, so that won't happen for a long while.

I think the cost of going on the road has created a much needed sense of long-term planning. They should have been plucking up indy talent the past couple of years, but I guess now that WWE has essentially cornered that market, they have finally realized that they have to do something long-term as well. TNA has to start putting young guys in position to succeed. I know people here bash the way they are using TJ Perkins, but it's a start. He is a normal guy that feels superior when wearing the costume and is being pushed as one of the top stars of the X-Division now. Fine. Give new guys identity and a reason for fans to care about them, and they will do fine. Even Gunner is getting over now. Obviously Magnus has the highest upside of any young guy they have and he is getting a push as well. Just make all the pushes organic and not forced, and they will hit a double or a triple here and there (best case is an Austin Aries type of rise, but that's rare for TNA).

Trent Barreta/Greg Mari...whatever his name is on a regular basis Jigsaw/Rubix on a regular basis (and get him some new tights) Brian Cage, who did gut check earlier this year.
For the Knockouts: Cheerleader Melissa needs to be signed yesterday. Jessica Havok Iveleese Valez
And if they do, once again, do work with Japan or even New Japan, I'd actually see if they could get a hold of: Kazushi Sakaraba Katsuyori Shibata Josh Barnett (with Bellator maybe and he's outside of Japan)
The big reason is their MMA background, and I think if they really want to have MMA guys come in, and Spike TV and Viacom are really putting some effort into this, bring in some guys who can work MMA into their pro wrestling.

For a while, they had a pipeline to CWFH/PWG, signing Joey Ryan, using talent for 1 or 2 appearances, but with the release of Joey Ryan, I don't know how that relationship is.

Keep in mind that DG USA/Evolve also has their talent under contracts. I have always heard that they will let people out of deals for WWE, but not TNA.

while there are a lot of indy guys out there I would love to see on a national level, I'd like for TNA to at least use the people they have now properly before going out and trying to pack on more talent.

After hearing Ted Jr left WWE I'd be all for him coming to TNA. He's only 30.
