Maybe not judging on the recent history of that family. But... the numbers game! There's like 20 of them, isn't there?  Aren't the Gracies the faces here though? 20 on 1 would make the mugger look sympathetic. Who's booking this crap!? |

Hawaii is a bad place to not pay attention to your belongings, so I wonder if that is what happened. If you leave something in your car or don't pay attention to a purse or bag, there is a very good chance all or part of it will be gone. They warn you at the rent-a-car places and hotels about it.

The great tragedy here is not one of stolen property, but that she was there in the first place. I consider that to be a crime and this light punishment of forfeited property is just not satisfactory. Just for being there the sentence should be much more severe. I hope in due time that a greater punishment awaits her and that it will stick with her for life.

"Mugging" is a fairly specific crime term - it's pretty literally defined as armed robbery or otherwise a robbery that involves violence. Given all we know is something was stolen, "Eve gets robbed in Hawaii" would probably be a better title. Much more general. |
