YES! good god I haven't heard that one in YEARS. enjoy kids, if you think american death match wrestling is even slightly good this is gonna change your life. I found that match to be really bad. Too much stalling. I don't get the attraction to some hardcore wrestling. Don't get me wrong, I think certain matches can use it to help sell the heat of a feud. However, this match just didn't do anything for me. Yeah, the setting up/too many spots takes a bit out of it. To me, it's more fun when Hardcore Matches look more like a street brawl: with weapons being used quickly in place of punches. Then when there is a big spot it stands out more.

Guess I'm the first to recall Jim Crockett Promotions staging "Bunkhouse Stampede tours" in the mid-'80s? I actually had the pleasure of attending one of those in my hometown (saint louis) when I was eight or nine years old. It was a tournament for the Central States title (I think) where Sam Houston beat Bill Dundee in the finals when Dundee's dirty cheating throughout the entire tournament finally caught up with him. After the tournament there was a bunkhouse stampede, which is a battle royal with street clothes and weapons to the unfamiliar. Dusty Rhodes ended up winning the match and was awarded a boot full of cash for his efforts. Great childhood memories there. I also attended Starcade 90' and saw the Black Scorpion reveal. After that show, a lot of the fans waited out back to see the wrestlers depart. I tried to get an autograph from the Rock n' Roll express as they were going out to their cab. They completely ignored me and my old man called them assholes to their face. Good times.
