Ive recently been catching up on a lot of old "jobber shows", and by doing so I have found some hidden gems that I did not know existed. Its always an added bonus to see a future star, or two, before they put it all together but one of the bigger rewards of looking back on these shows is seeing the promotions take shots at each other. At this point I think most of us are aware that HHH was in WCW, the WWF did the 'Billionaire Ted' skits, WCW spoiled a few RAWs, and Road Warrior Hawk was ECW before ECW was the ECW we know and love... this thread is for the (maybe) slightly less known 'things' that popped up in the old days. To get things started, Raven (Scotty Flamingo) vs RVD (Robby V) in WCW www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxVa4g2MU4Y Mr. Perfect vs Justin Credible (PJ Walker) with referee Bill Alphonso www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4cfzpPAZ8g

The Raven/RvD was a good match, why the hell didn't WCW pick him up ?

The "Classic Memphis Wrestling" set of DVDs had a metric ton of "that happened?" moments throughout it... I remember my mind being blown after seeing a match between Jerry Lawler, Terry Taylor and Steve Keirn vs. Koko Ware, Bobby Eaton and Kamala the Ugandan giant.
Here's a classic bit of footage... Randy Savage piledriving Ricky Morton through a table (possibly the first time this happened on TV?):

Damn, they found Continental footage?!! I thought most of the footage David Woods owned was destroyed.

wouldn't exactly call that a "hidden gem" since it was featured on RVD's WWE dvd

There numerous examples of guys showing up on WWF/E television as extras before they're an official part of the main roster. I can't think of specific examples at the moment but I know there's a lot of them, especially over the past decade or so.

This has always been odd to me, Lou Thesz had a run in Memphis in the late 70's-early 80's when he was in his mid-60's. But kinda just wrestled as one of the guys, not really a main eventer outside of a few tag matches, just kind of a mid-card guy wrestling in a territory, not some special attraction like you'd think. It just doesn't look right seeing him wrestling in the Memphis WMC studios against some jobber in 1980.

Ambrose looks like a douche. That video of AJ meeting Lita is crazy. Real cool. Now, AJ gets 25 year old men with bad acne crying over her.
