So, Bobby Heenan actually managed Randy Savage alongside Elizabeth for at least one night. I guess so Hogan's "manager" Mr. T can have someone on the outside of the ring to fight with. UPDATE: Looks like I was right about Heenan being someone T could fight with. Here's footage of the finish of the match courtesy of a local news telecast. (Also interesting to note here that it looks like Savage is wearing red knee pads and yellow boots while Hogan is in his mid-80s white attire,) - How long after Wrestlemania did Savage come in?

WCW used Matt Hardy's submission for their Amateur Challenge in 1993:

Someone once brought a sign to a Nitro show that said "Goldberg eats corn the long way"

Now I remember those Amateur WCW videos.
Repo Man's theme sounded like a baby faces, no wonder Barry Darsow thought he was supposed to turn at some point. Even at the end of the match Gorilla takes Repo Man's side. I wonder if this was done with the belief that Repo would eventually turn.

The Rockers vs The Hardys once happened on Raw.
The new Rockers the Hardy Boys. I believe 96 if I remember correctly.

In 2006 the Steiner Brothers wrestled for a Virginia promotion named TNT. The weird thing was it was exclusively in steel cage matches. They lost to the New Age Outlaws then beat the Midnight Express three times (the Rose version once and the Condrey version twice). I knew Scott Taylor AKA Scotty 2 Hotty made his debut all the way back in 1991 against The Berzerker. However, I didn’t know just how many obscure gimmicks he jobbed to in the early/mid 1990s. Kwang, Rad Redford Xanta Klaus, etc Scotty laid down for some of the best (worst?)!
No wonder he got chances at the tag and IC titles! First with matches against The Quebecers in 1994 then against Jeff Jarrett in 1995.
I was hoping his first win would be a DQ against some notable Wrestlecrap gimmick. However unless I missed something it was in a Raw dark match against fellow jobber Nick Barberry in November 1996. On the plus side he beat Leif Cassidy on Raw proper about six months later.

One that DIDN'T happen, but I recall very clearly that the 5/17/92 house show in Huntington, WV was originally promoted as a British Bulldog vs. Sid main event before it was eventually changed to the Ultimate Warrior vs. Papa Shango.
Did Sid/Bulldog main event any other house shows around this time? Even as a kid, I thought that felt totally random and was thrilled that it got changed to one that I actually wanted to see.

Checking thehistoryofwwe.com, I'm seeing a lot of shows around that time that were advertised with Warrior vs. Sid that were changed to Warrior vs. Papa Shango after Sid walked out. Do you remember how far in advanced this Huntington show was announced for? If it was more then like two months earlier, they might have just announce Bulldog vs. Sid with no intention on actually having that match just so they wouldn't spoil Warrior's big return at WrestleMania VIII.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they still do it sometimes, but years ago it was more prevalent they’d announce the most random things to headline shows for the local market. I hope someone uploaded it to YouTube to prove I’m not crazy but way back in 1997 we got the first TV ads for WM 14 here in Greater Boston. It was Dok Hendrix touting a main event of Steve Austin teaming up with the LOD to take on the Nation of Domination.

I would assume nowadays they'd just be better off announcing what wrestlers will be on the show in advance and put together the matches with whoever shows up the day of.
