Stomps, kicks, punches, slaps, if it's a strike, Axel immediately, without fail, screams "SHAH!!!!" as he does it.
Is he part of a secret cabal trying to unseat Ayatollah Khamenei?
I choose to believe that he is.

I think he used to sing in a Disturbed tribute band.

Tribute to Mick Foley, perhaps? "AH-CHA!"

He's a robot and it's just the sound of gas escaping from the pneumatic motors in his limbs.

Tribute to Lord Tensai perhaps? The only Lord Tensai tribute I'd accept from Axel would be him dressed in a muumuu doing that shovel dance.

Tribute to Mick Foley, perhaps? "AH-CHA!" We'll know for sure of McAxelcutty starts pulling out what little hair he has left.

Didn't the crowd used to chant "SHAH!" at him in NXT?
Anyway, on a similar note, I'll never forget when Sheamus attacked Triple H with a lead pipe and ruined the intensity by seemingly shouting "AH-DICKS!" with each strike.

Tribute to Lord Tensai perhaps? Only if he starts going "YARRRRRRRGH!" when he charges a guy in the corner.

I don't know, something to make him stand out?
I mean, it was a pretty standard practice back in the day. Hogan, Savage, Piper, Hart, Hennig, Hall, Foley, and so on all had various different little sounds & noises they made. Admittedly it was usually to try to cover up them calling something, but I don't know, I like it. I liked it back then and I like it now for a number of reasons. Makes him stand out, it's nostalgic to me, and it makes it feel more like an actual sport that is forcing these guys to exert energy.
As opposed to some of the guys that are silent as logs for the majority of their matches.

If this leads to the return of the crowd shouting "SHAH!" when he punches and "SHIT!" when he is hit.... I'm cool with it.

Maybe Axel and Brodus will do guest commentary, and when it looks like the guys in the ring keep trading momentum, they can call it a "back and forth, sheee shah" matchup.
