What are the top contenders for future Iron Man matches?
With some of the best wrestlers on the roster in WWE history, there are loads of instant classics in the making.
4 of the top of my head:
CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan Daniel Bryan vs Seth Rollins Sami Zayn vs Antonio Cesaro Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler

Logically and what I think would be the best, CM Punk vs. John Cena. Would be a great way to end their feud.

The best Iron Man match is no Iron Man match. Why?

The best Iron Man match is no Iron Man match. Why? I don't like the concept. I don't mind watching a long match. But when you intentionally make it long from the get go, you spend more time looking at the clock than enjoying what happens. Because no matter what happens early on, they always end up tying up the score near the end, and the end of the match is always one to two things. Either one guy a point behind has the other in a submission hold in the final minute, or they tie up and end up having a short single fall match, making the entire hour beforehand a total waste of time. It's dull, and unless you can find two guys who can not only go after an hour without huffing wind, and who also having enough in their arsenal not to either repeat spots, or moves, it just ends up not being a fun experience.

I agree. I love the Cena/Orton Iron Man but what ruins it is the way that Cena steals the win in the last seconds, it was just so predictable and ruined what was an innovative Iron Man match.

I would prefer a 30 minute one, since it cuts down on some of the problems Ironman matches have.
Have they ever had a 3 out of 5 match? That would work well, for a long match.

If they really wanted to have another Iron Man match, it'd probably be Daniel Bryan with either Randy Orton, HHH,, a Shield member, or some other wrestler aligning themself with HHH.

I'm over Iron Man matches, if they want to do a long match on Raw I'd be down though. Bryan running the Shield gauntlet for the better part of an hour would be my pick.

I'd like to add that in the current era, giving two guys that much time in the ring, even if they CAN go for an hour, just comes off as an excuse to kill time.

Because Cena/HBK in London totally came off that way (even though that was exactly why they did it). The most important part of any marathon match (iron man, 2/3 falls, any 1 fall match longer than 30 minutes) is extremely solid psychology. That's why Orton and Cena had a good one, even though their other matches weren't as highly regarded. I'd like to see any of the ones listed so far here, they'd all be great.

I hate them, especially in this day in age, where in a big match, it normally takes 2-3 finishers to finish a guy, and numerous other finishers are reversed. In an Iron Man match, you typically have things like a quick pin, or a quick finisher, which never happen in a regular match.
