The other thread I started about Orton made me think of this. For the first 30 years of the WWWF/WWF/WWE it seems like every top title reign was memorable. Even Ivan Koloff and Stan Stasiak were memorable as transitional heel champs. However, in the last 10 years there have been over 40 reigns for the WWE Championship alone and I'll be damned if I can remember a bunch of them.
Feel free to talk beyond just the WWE Title for this thread. I just thought it was a good starting point.
As for me I'll say CM Punk's two reigns are very memorable. Yes, even the first one because of all the crazy booking they did with it in such a short time frame. For all the crap Miz gets the title also actually seemed important when he had it. True, Miz didn't seem worthy of the WWE title, but that just elevated him, which is exactly what a title is supposed to do. Now, if only he didn't nearly get beaten by Jerry freaking Lawler. Lastly, another one that gets crapped over and I hated, but when Cena held the title forever in 2007 it seemed important. Too bad he had to vacate it due to injury rather than put someone over huge.

I'll definitely always remember Punk's second WWE title reign (or at least, what I saw of it), but not in a remotely positive way. Outside of that... I guess Cena's reign in 2006 and 2007, and Batista's original one. Those are about the only ones that stand out to me. Maybe JBL's.
And yeah, I liked Miz reign quite a bit, and would love for him to win it again.

HHH 02/03. Throw all the salt you want but the dude got heat and made people look great after they did a ppv with him. He put Orton over as the youngest world champ, Dave Batista got to go over HHH three straight times, cementing him as a legit main event. I know he gets a ton of heat on the internet, but he is great and that is that.

Orton took that title from Benoit and then promptly lost it and every match in the short feud after to Trips before Trips transitioned to his more successful Batista feud.

I thought of Age of Orton straight away for some reason when I read the title, though it could be with Orton being in the most prominent position in the company position recently compared to his last few years.

The ones I thought of right away were JBL, The Miz, and CM Punk's most recent WWE run.

Yeah, Trips did NOTHING for Orton during that initial feud. Hell, I wouldn't say until the last few years he actually put him over. Orton had to completely restart from that point, and it wasn't until his program with Taker, that he started to gain momentum again. As far as memorable reigns; JBL's WWE title Cena's first 3 WWE titles Jericho's first WHC title Punk's 2 WWE titles Orton's last 2 WHC titles (thanks to a bunch of great matches with Christian) Roman

But the Miz 'duckface' one is creepy as all hell. Funny, but creepy. Punk's 2 title reigns JBL's title reign Douchetista Wade Barrett's imaginary title reign with Nexus.

JBL's title reign is one I can remember very well.
Punk's recent title reign was rather forgettable if you ask me...

Cena's title reign from September 17th, 2006 - October 2nd, 2007 is one of the five best reigns in the WrestleMania era, IMO.

As much as people bash The Miz, his US & WWE title runs rank right up there.

I'd rank them: 1) Cena's 2006-2007 reign (dude was carrying people left and right) 2) JBL's 2004-2005 reign (wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but his brawls were always entertaining and his interviews knocked it out of the park) 3) Punk's 2011-2013 reign (at least before the Ryback stuff started)

Punk's reign was memorable for its length and not much else, a few really good matches but were there any good feuds in there? Feud with Jericho was probably the best but that was only okay.
I consider these memorable Age of Orton, Cena 2007, Edge's first, RVD's, JBL's.

I really liked Punk's recent one, it could have been better but it is still one of my favourite runs.
The period from Backlash '00 to Vengeance '01 was a glut of memorable title reigns. Rock beat HHH for the belt and had a good run, he lost it to Angle who had the best chickenshit heel title run ever from No Mercy until he lost it back to The Rock at No Way Out. His title reign only lasted until the next PPV but it was a match with Austin at 'Mania X-7 and it was huge. Austin held it as a heel, face then a heel again before losing it to Angle in that emotional match at Unforgiven which was truly awesome. Angle lost it back to Austin (a mistake IMO) and then had a good run until the title unification at Vengeance. Rock and Booker's as well as Rock and Jericho's feuds over the WCW Title were also very interesting during the Invasion angle. So yeah that was all good stuff.
JBL's reign was pretty memorable.
I don't remember anything from Unforgiven '06 up until early 2010 because I only really watched 'Mania during those times (I was totally burned out at this point and I hated that Cena won the title again from Edge, I really despised Cena at that point).
The Lesnar/Angle feuds when those guys were holding the title were awesome but I don't remember them feuding with other people so either they only feuded with each other or I the rest of their reigns weren't that memorable.
Most of Triple H's runs as World Heavyweight Champ were pretty memorable.
I also loved Bryan's run with the WHC and I liked Orton's last couple due to the matches with Christian (the feud might have been lopsided but those matches were memorable) and the way he lost it to Henry.

Punk's second reign tops the list for me. The booking sucked at times, but it's still remarkable to see the top tier champion hold the strap that long in this day and age.

Cena's first three reigns for debuting the spinner, making both Trips and Shawn tap at 'Mania, the hour match in the UK, becoming the first person to lose the title to a Money In The Bank cash-in and defending the belt in the Hammerstein.
Batista's first for the stuff with Trips and Eddie.
Edge's for the way he won it, the live sex celebration and the TLC with Flair.
Punk's for the length of it and the fact that he lost it to The Rock.
Cena's one that just passed wasn't long but people should easily remember even in 10-15 years time the fact that he won it from The Rock in the main event of Wrestlemania, the fake retirement angle with Mark Henry and the match with Daniel Bryan.

I really enjoyed Henry's World Heavyweight title reign. Also Miz had a memorable run and I enjoyed most of Edge's.
