Picked up Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth last night. I only have a passing familiarity with Record of Lodoss War, but it's a quality Metroidvania and only $20.

Okay, so, just getting started using Steam after years of playing free to download roguelikes and suchlike. Started playing Darkest Dungeon and enjoying it.
Anyways, what I'm pondering is, if I were to buy a game, and it doesn't really perform well on my laptop is can I get a refund on it?

And there is a time limit as well, but I cannot remember how long that is. It used to be a month. Might be less now.

Thanks for that.
Still, now I'm pondering what to get. Budget-wise, I can get me a game for this month. On the other hand, I'm still not even close to the middle of playing Darkest Dungeon, and frankly I'm stumped on what else I wanna play. Always wanted to play GTAV or New Vegas, and then there's several others. Harvest Moon, Civ V, various Metroidvania type games.
...should get me a controller first.

Black Friday sales will be kicking into gear in the next few weeks, can always wait until then, might save a few pennies.

Does anyone know who's responsible for the short decriptory texts on the right of a game's profile in Steam? Because quite frankly, they're an embarrassment. I thought maybe a JRPG would be something nice, theatrically dramatic, story-driven. But the texts are so unbelievably bad that I don't think a human being could have written them. Bear in mind I'm German, but let's take Tales of Arise:
"300 Jahre der Tyrannei. Eine mysteriöse Maske. Verlorener Schmerzen und Erinnerungen. Schwingt das Flammenschwert zusammen mit dem geheimnisvollen Mädchen, um eure Unterdrücker zu stellen. Eine Befreiungsgeschichte mit Charakteren in Next-Gen-Grafik!"
This is the most accurate translation I can come up with:
"300 years of tyranny. A mysterious mask. Of lost pains and memories. Wield the flame sword together with the mysterious girl to confront your opressors. A story of liberation with characters in next-gen graphics."
That text tries to sell me on a JRPG. A JRPG. I have to read lots and lots of text, so is it of the same rotten quality or do the developers/publishers just not care about the quality of their games' profiles on Steam?

Late to the party, but have begun playing Fallout New Vegas. Never played that, and 3, but from what I've read New Vegas was a lot more favored and such.
It's been one hell of a long time since I've played something 3d. And it definitely shows. I may need some sort of controller to keep up eventually.

Got some DLC for Stellaris (I'm always at least one DLC behind so it goes on sale). Was going to get Cricket 22 but it's been delayed for unfortunate reasons.

I got into the Rumbleverse First Look event on Epic, which I didn’t expect to happen so soon.
This game is going to rule so much. They’re not joking when they said you can toss fools off Skyscrapers.

Bumping this because the Epic Games sale is going on and along with that, there’s a free game every day.
Loop Hero is today’s game.
Get. On. That.

My buddy picked up the Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC and spent half the weekend texting me about how big of a piece of shit the buggy ass software is.

I figured we'd be using this more.
I finally built a computer and smashed my Steam library with a bunch of games I got through a charity donation back in December.
Also, Pizza Tower came out last week after 5 or so years in development, and I backed the game on Patreon all over 2022. It's a great game with an awesome soundtrack and cool animated sprites if you liked Wario Land 4.
