I think that it's hilarious that when HHH isn't on TV there's all sorts of rumors about all of the vindictive and petty things that he does behind the scenes to get himself over, but suddenly he's on TV embracing that perception combined with self awareness and suddenly everyone loves it.

This storyline is funny in that it is a spoof on talking points and methods people have always used to portray WWE as being evil. "You can't speak your mind without getting in trouble", "we'll say bad things about the company anonymously.", etc.
