Why doesn't HHH just fire Daniel Bryan?

I know, because of the storyline right now, but in kayfabe HHH seems pretty trigger happy at firing wrestlers for the smallest of insubordinations, yet DBry gets away with all kinds of stuff that other wrestlers can't right now.

Is HHH using him to send a message? Is he trying to break him?

I have a better question: why doesn't Daniel Bryan just grab a steel chair and beat the shit out of any of the people Triple H forces him to wrestle? Those matches are obviously designed for him to lose, like a gauntlet match against The Shield. So, why play Triple H's game?

Don't forgot the order of control in WWE is still headed up by the mysterious WWE Board of Directors, the deus ex machina of all WWE Storylines.

So, I'm amusing that Triple H as COO is, in private, slightly scared of upsetting the Board of Directors like Vince before him did. A move like cancelling main events of Summerslam and Night of Champions by firing the Number 1 Contender would certainly do that, so Trips is happy to keep Byran around but build obstacles in front of him.

You know, wrestling can't be all logic, in a logic world people would not fight and we would witness lawyers debates for 3 hours every monday night.
I think "kayfabe" is not trying to find the "reality" logic in eveything, it's accepting the logic flaws in the product.

It won't happen but...

Triple H is the same guy who took the fall for the Curtain call and was made to wrestle Henry O Godwin in mud.

He won't fire Bryan because he's grooming him to be his champion after he turns on Orton.

Orton= pretty boy, 3rd generation superstar who was guaranteed his spot since day 1 and came up in developmental.

Bryan= not your WWE poster boy, came up the hard way (just like Triple H), had a famous trainer (Shawn Michaels filling the Killer Kowalski role, just like Hunter), has ties to Regal and HBK, who helped mentor Triple H, and won't back down.

It won't happen but swerve.

Because many many times, they set up stipulations that allowed for Austin not to get fired.

just because Bryan doesn;t deserve to be the face of the WWE he's still a solid B+ competitor who can put on ok matches to get the crowd fired up for later when the real main eventer Randy Orton comes out to wrestle.

For the same reasons Vince never fired Austin in the beginning of their feud. Though, he did that one time, but it was vetoed by Shane if I remember right. Honestly, I'm not so sure Triple H won't fire Bryan. They could very easily fire him the night after Night of Champions after Bryan goes beserk from getting screwed, stating that he's a "danger to others and himself". It would be a great way of justifying having someone else facing Randy for the next couple of months, too.

I could see this eventually happening in November or December and then Vince brings Bryan back to begin the Vince/HHH war.

Triple H could feel the roster needs a few 'Doink the Clowns' for the fans, viewing Bryan as the goofy goat guy with the big beard who chants 'Yes!' and 'No!' for the crowd. He wants Bryan on the roster, but wants him away from the WWE Championship.

Because he's a wrestler that wrestles for the love of wrestling and wouldn't disrespect wrestling by not wrestling.
