Also note on the poster: "Handsome" Jimmy Valiant, maybe the biggest star in Memphis form about 1975-85 after Lawler and Dundee.
Not seen on the poster but should be :Terry Funk, Austin Idol, Mongolian Stomper, Phil Hickerson, The Fabulous Ones
Wish they could be there(RIP): Sputnik Monroe, Joe LeDuc, Jackie Fargo, Randy Savage, Rick Rude, Eddie Gibert
Additional wishes:
Ringside commentary by Lance Russell and Dave Brown
Promoter: Jerry Jarrett

I recognize Lance Russell, Spellbinder, Koko B Ware, Rikishi, Mabel, Brian Christopher, RnR Express, Jimmy Valient, and Bill Dundee at the bottom, but the main focus of that bottom picture is the tatted guy with the shoulderpads and I don't recognize him at all. That's Wolfie D, now going by the name Cerebus. I gotta be honest, I thought that was Gillberg.

Holy crap, I never woulda recognized him. One would think that both he and the promoter of the show would realize that when they're running shows in areas that USWA used to hit, it would be more of a draw to have the name "Wolfie D" on a poster as appearing. Changing his name (and appearance) to something nobody is going to recognize does no one any favors. I'm not saying he needs to carry around hubcaps and the whole nine yards, but to not at least use the name wrestling fans associate you with is just foolish. For a while, he was also known as Slash as part of the Disciples Of Synn in OVW (back in the day with Batista & Tomko). He was just on TNA's One Night Only: Hardcore Justice 2, in May. He came back with the Disciples Of The New Church and lost to LAX. Looked like a great show. Would have loved to have been there.

He still occasionally uses the Wolfie D name on indy shows. He built up the Cerberus name to the point that more fans in the Mid South area recognize that name more than Wolfie D. I find this incredibly difficult to believe. I'm not talking about the couple hundred indy wrestling fans who constantly go to small shows in 2013 and may have seen him on those shows because they are die hard indy wrestling fans. I'm talking about the vast majority of casual wrestling fans in Tunica, MS, who got USWA on television and watched him for years performing as Wolfie D of PG-13. Unless I'm mistaken, he's never been on television as Cerebrus for any casual wrestling fans to know of him as that. Only "indy fans" would. Advertisements for a show like this should try to connect with the average guy on the street who might have watched wrestling on TV. Obviously they are going to recognize Lawler, Jarrett, Rock & Roll Express, etc. but they may also recognize Wolfie D (and hell, even Spellbinder) because they were former television personalities. "Cerebrus" never was.

Unless I'm mistaken, he's never been on television as Cerebrus for any casual fans to know of him as that. You may not believe it but it's true. He works as many shows as Cerberus as he does as Wolfie D while still maintaining his current look and gimmick. People who frequent Southern indy shows already know most of the players. The diehard fanbase regularly attend the shows. Casual fans aren't showing up in big numbers because someone like Chris Masters in on the card. But they'll show up in droves for Jerry Lawler. Not WWE commentator Lawler. The one they watched for decades kicking ass and piledriver fools. Wrestling is different in the South. Put the Rock and Roll Express, Bill Dundee, and Lawler on a card; you got yourself a good house number. And Wolfie D hasn't been in a national promotion over a decade and in the wrestling business, that is a lifetime. Especially when he was a minor player when he was on tv.

A little known fact about Phantasio, he also wrestled on the first NWA-TNA show (not as Phantasio/Spellbinder) but was never booked again. He's like the king of one and done deals.

I misread Kevin white as Kerwin white. If only... That would have made the show kick some more ass.

I knew I'd forget somebody. Dream Machine(Troy Graham) had that great rap and a good look. I was surprised he didn't get more national exposure. Plus, I hadn't realized that he died in 2002-had to look it up.
