So TNA announcers stop mentioning them every damn show and worry about promoting wrestling on the wrestling show. Not too had a concept to grasp is it?

Shows promote shows on the same channel. It happens.

I could say that about many things advertised on and during a wrestling show doesn't mean its not a good idea to do so. You do know the TV is not a personalized message to just you its broadcast to many people of many different tastes

I'm actually watching it right now, I hardly watch MMA but I like it once in a while. Not that I ever want to see Tito or Rampage or even hear the word BELLATOR! on Impact again, but it's inevitable.

I think Spike TV is forcing them to do it It's the horse pulling the cart now. Bellator is Spike's prize, TNA is along for the ride. And as soon as Bellator is able to run on its own, TNA is in trouble because Spike values Bellator a lot more. Constant shrilling for Bellator is what TNA has to do in order to keep the money train from Spike coming and stay in the network's good graces. Its not like TNA can threaten to move the show to another network. Nor are they able to run the promotion without Spike's money because Panda Energy is cutting back their budget. It's more of a "You need us more that we need you" scenario.

I'm just laughing as they slowly become the TNA of MMA. They're the early 90s WCW of MMA, they're owned by the network and aren't gaining the ratings that Viacom had hoped, given the amount of money spent on them. They're now signing their biggest rival's stars of yesteryear, they just need to fire a few people on the brink of stardom and hire Jim Duggan and the Honkytonk Man.

Shows promote shows on the same channel. It happens. But usually the other show promotes right back, doesn't it? Outside a few select times (Dixie announcing Hardy re-signed and Taryn as a ring girl), Bellator hasn't promoted TNA AT ALL. If we have to hear about them all the damn time, which makes Tenay look like a dumbass when he misses calls because he's too busy yammering about some light heavyweight match over there or something, it's only fair that they should promote TNA right back. I could say that about many things advertised on and during a wrestling show doesn't mean its not a good idea to do so. You do know the TV is not a personalized message to just you its broadcast to many people of many different tastes Actually, a lot of people have complained about TNA basically becoming a Bellator infomercial.

What's funny is that they use TNA to promote Bellator because TNA is doing better ratings than Bellator.

What's funny is that they use TNA to promote Bellator because TNA is doing better ratings than Bellator. Exactly. From what I have read, Bellator doesn't even get half the ratings that TNA gets, which might explain why TNA is forced to promote Bellator fights and use Mo, Ortiz, and Rampage in meaningless situations on Impact. Edited to add: NOVEMBER 2ND ON PPV!

What's funny is that they use TNA to promote Bellator because TNA is doing better ratings than Bellator. Well of course they are. It makes perfect sense to use one of your most viewed properties to promote another. Why WOULDN'T they do that? It's not funny, it's exactly what should be expected.

It's funny to me is because I hear people make fun of the 1.1 rating TNA always gets, but it's actually a very solid number for Spike. It's a lot better than Bellator which Viacom was hoping would attract more viewers than TNA because they're probably spending more money on Bellator than TNA.

It's a Spike thing. They're probably getting money for it, at least I hope. They should get some money out of it, they could certainly use it.
