I don't think Douglas had good memories of his first run in WWE, so I don't blame him at all taking WCW's money. I think he got a better push in WCW than he would have gotten in WWE anyway. He was nowhere near the level the top guys in WWE were at the time. In the chaos that was WCW, he had ample opportunity. Russo seemed to like him, so he had that going for him too. 2nded plus he couldnt use Shane since the bosses son is called Shane ya know? the return of Dean Douglas, coming soon on RAW meets Jerry Springer 1999

Per his YouShoot, Shane Douglas did get a contract offer from WWF when he left ECW, but it was for an extremely low salary per his standard. He went to WCW because they offered more.
