I have an indy dvd where Jerry Lawler makes an appearance, and his theme song is "Back in Black". Totally random, and unnecessary too as his wwf theme "pictures at an exhibition" is public domain. Its that APW dvd I bet. I got the same dvd. Seems like at least 75% of the roster came out to an AC/DC song. The story I got told was whoever was in charge of the music left all the music at his home. So they were stuck with whatever CDs were around. |

Silas Young is one of the rare people that can make Don't Stop Believin work, including the intro. It can work for a total dickhead heel like him. Ok now I wanna see him wrestle Robert Evans so the crowd can have a massive Journey sing along. |

I'm surprised more wrestlers dont use Power Metal songs. Maybe theyre somewhat obscure, but a lot of their songs would make sense as wrestling themes as they're instantly memorable and anthemic. For example, this song would be perfect for a "king" gimmick:

My one simple trick to tell if a wrestler is small-time or has potential, before even watching their match is: At the start of the match, do you hear the words "CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES! THIS IS MY LAST RESORT...!"? If so, the wrestler is undisputably small time. Same with "I AM! A LITTLE BIT OF LONELINESS! A LITTLE BIT OF DISREGARD!" |

The company that used to run in my area locally had a Rock rip-off gimmick called The Pebble. He was this skinny white guy wearing bootleg Rock trunks, a terrible silver jacket, kids WWF belt and had sideburns painted on. The worst part of it was that his theme was a horrible cover of the Rock theme with him saying PEBBLE every ten seconds. The best about it is that the promoter claimed that at any show that the actual Rock would show up.

First off, Stevie Nicks did it solo. Her version is Portia Perez's theme song. Portia also uses a cover by Jonas in some promotions. Both totally work for her.

I've been to a couple different indy shows in the Upper Midwest and each one had some d-bag coming down to the theme from The Terminator. (the DUN DUN DUN DUN-DUN part)
Great Song... but a wrestler should never use it.

Dont forget any wrestlers from "Hawaii" (either legit or worked) coming down to the Hawaii Five-O theme. Unless you also have a cop gimmick its time to let that go.

Oh, and on that topic, ANY "PATRIOTIC" WRESTLER WHO HAS USED BORN IN THE USA. It is NOT a patriotic song, even an Apter mag article caught on to this.
