Kurt Angle. I dont even remember him winning the title. I just miss him. Kurt was a great World Champion the short time he held it. Had a great match with Undertaker at No Way Out 2006. I was actually there for his win of the title in the battle royal. Still wish that WWE actually did book that Angle/Edge Title Unification match Angle challenged Edge to the next Raw.

It's a little surreal, in an awesome way, that Triple H and Mark Henry of all people are tied in this poll currently.
Not like you exactly see those two names thrown around alot together.

I know it's not the cool thing to do around here, but I'm the guy who voted for Orton. Besides me (obviously) being a huge Orton mark, here are the reasons:
- Didn't watch WWE during the reign of terror. - Orton continously put on fantastic matches, especially with Christian. - I know the IWC is still butthurt about that whole feud, but it restored some credibility and prestige to the belt. - Dropped the belt to the right guy.
Edge is a close second, but I tend to confuse his WHC and WWE reigns. Henry was awesome, but doesn't need the belt to kill poeple left and right.

The best individual reign I'd say is Batista's first, but overall... Yeah, probably Mark Henry, just because it was so damn satisfying to see him win it.

Jericho because he had some incredible matches. It was probably the best time of his career for match quality.
Second best is Mark Henry because the guy turned me from a hater to a mark in the space of a couple of years.

Wow. Henry is winning. I wonder if they retired the belt now if in 2020 people will feel the same or if it's just the recency that's changing minds.
And it's sad his reign ended as him being the 4th most important guy in the Bryan/Big Show feud.

Tough call but I went with Chris Jericho, based on the feud he had with Edge. Take away the "Spear, spear, spear..." chant, and it was a nice little confrontation. And I loved how Edge decided that he was going after Jericho.
Mark Henry's is second just for his line to the fan holding his replica belt: "YOURS FAKE! MINE'S REAL!"

The title essentially helped revive Chris Jericho's career at a point where he very easily could've just coasted on past accomplishments and past evolutions in his character. And, in return, Jericho made the title feel more important than it did for most of it's existence. Having some of the best matches possible with a variety of talent and cutting some of the best promos of the past decade. He, in my opinion, did what HHH tried so hard to do with the belt several years prior and was more of a modern equivalent to Flair's heel champion formula than HHH was. That all said, Kane, Henry, Daniel and Undertaker would round out my top five for it. you just changed my mind. i voted for mark henry initially, but srs jericho as world champion was spectacular, especially the shawn michaels feud. for my money, that was the very best jericho has ever been in wwe.

The infamous "ladder" promo he cut prior to their ladder match for the title is still one of his best and, in my opinion, one of the best promos I've ever seen. It easily shows that when Jericho wants to, he can hang with the big boys of the past and present.
