Just for fun, I want to point out how his booking became very different from Goldberg's big push.
Before Goldberg was granted his big title shot, he won all of his matches and barely had any competitive matches. He won the US Title from Raven and would go on to win the World Title from Hollywood Hogan. His streak continued until the following Starrcade when he lost to Nash.
Ryback won all of his matches decisively leading into his WWE Championship match at Hell in a Cell against Punk. He failed to win the title in his first attempt and he would go on to fail (either lose or fail to win) on PPV after PPV. After this loss to Punk at Hell in a Cell, he would not win a match on PPV until Money in the Bank 2013 against Jericho. He won via a roll-up pin. Prior to that win, when was his last PPV win? Money in the Bank 2012. A full year before.
That's why Ryback stopped being Goldberg. WWE constantly booked him to fail. There was a time when he was clicking with a good portion of the crowd. It's possible that the association with Paul Heyman might be WWE's attempt to get Ryback back on track, but he damn sure isn't Goldberg after the way WWE has booked him.
I loved the 'Goldberg' chants when I first heard them because they were making a point. The chants were spot-on. Now the chant is just something people continue to chant because it caught on. It's like 'Cena sucks.'

It must be annoying, having those chants constantly just because he happens to be bald. I mean, at the start I can understand it, but it's nearly a year since his 'streak' ended, so that's no longer a factor. Or if they must continue, can we spread it across the roster? Can people chant "Austin" at Randy Orton? The guy with a snake nickname, black trunks and a cutter finisher who spent a long time bald. Maybe chant Rhyno at Roman Reigns, for his long black hair and spear? Yeah, I agree that the chants today just aren't the same. It was a clever taunt when Ryback was being booked like Goldberg, but ever since the night after Hell in a Cell, Ryback's been booked pretty much the opposite of Goldberg. The chants don't really have the same punch that they used to. Now it's just a standard chant like "Cena sucks!" So...what you're saying is that Ryback's being booked exactly like Goldberg post-streak? Yeah, I was a WCW fan. Lotta people forget how quickly Goldberg's storylines and booking turned to crap after his streak died. Pretty much note to note what's happened to Ryback too. So I can still see the comparisons. Only major difference is that WCW still gave the illusion from time to time, by this point in Goldberg's career, that he was WCW title material.

I was not comparing Ryback at any point to Goldberg post-streak. I meant to say that since Hell in a Cell, Ryback has been booked differently than Goldberg was BEFORE losing the title. Neither was booked particularly well after their first big loss, but there is a big difference. Goldberg was over. Very over. The fans wanted him to triumph over Hogan and Nash and regain the title. Even as WCW wasn't giving the fans what they wanted with Goldberg, the fans still wanted him as a top guy and he was still over. In fact, pretty much for the rest of WCW's history, the fans still wanted to see Goldberg on top. The fact is, Ryback never got over like Goldberg did. Not really. He never felt as hot as Goldberg did.

He never felt as hot as Goldberg did. ...Okay, I was mostly kidding. I was aware you weren't comparing the two post-streak. I was just bringing up the fact that Goldberg and Ryback, post-streak, have had similar booking. Albeit Ryback's career in general feels like somebody hit the fast forward button on Goldberg's career. Encompassing several years worth of booking into a shorter span of time. Unstoppable streak, main event push, loss of streak, flounders, heel turn, ect. And, while Goldberg did maintain a certain level of popularity, don't be fooled. He wasn't as white hot after he lost his streak and became the NWO's whipping boy as alot of people like to think. Alot of people started to turn on him and by the time he turned face again, I remember alot of people being over him as a whole. Why towards the end of WCW they more and more gradually tried to shift him towards...well, essentially where Ryback is now. Not quite main event, but not quite mid-card. The only major difference in that respect is the level of fandom the two periods have/had, and how one has to try to compare the two. Obviously, in direct comparison, Goldberg's reactions will seem significantly larger than Ryback's. But compared to other stars in WCW of that same time period post-title loss, by the time the air was rapidly coming out of the balloon for Goldberg? Yeah, he fell behind alot of top names. Similar to what happened to the Giant in WCW. Was over, then the screwy booking, jobbing out, constant turns killed him for the crowd and he just became another Hogan lackey.

He says it doesn't bother him yet he's already spoken about it a bunch of times.

This is not new. Rybacks been saying this in interviews for ages.
Also I found the Goldberg chants hillarious when they first started and this is coming from someone who Rybacks first push.

I blame Coach Bombay. Had he put in Julie 'The Cat' we wouldn't have this problem but Goldberg used his creative control card and got more playing time and was pushed to look like a great goalie. Now we get all of these stupid chants because Ryback hates goalies
EDIT* I haven't slept lately, and I know this makes absolutely no sense.

Really? I blame credit the Chicago crowd at Extreme Rules 2012. Great crowd. Great PPV. I really marked out when they chanted it. It perfectly captured what WWE was doing with Ryback at the time. They were giving him the Goldberg push. They were saying, 'Yeah, we've seen this before. This is just another Goldberg.' They were mocking him and WWE. Part of it seemed like the so-called 'smart fans' were trying to be cute, yet there was truth in their chant. tons of people have the Goldberg style push. Tatanka had a two year undefeated streak years before Goldberg was in WCW. The Ultimate Warrior probably won over 100 matches before his first loss. It should be illegal to call it the Goldberg push until they actually start putting out numbers

Apparently Goldberg responded with, "Good luck with that."
The plot (kinda/sorta) thickens...

I don't see any similar traits to Goldberg at all anymore. He's more a hybrid of Batista and Bully Ray now.
