On a serious note: The main event of WrestleMania 10 featured two guys who weren't even on the roster yet at WrestleMania 1. The main event of WrestleMania 20 featured three guys who weren't even on the roster yet at WrestleMania 10. So chances are, the main event of WrestleMania 40 is gonna be between two guys we haven't even heard of yet. ...now onto the fun response, the main event of WrestleMania 40 will obviously be Dolph Ziggler dropping the Undisputed Championship to the rightful champion, Cyber-Hulk Hogan. Actually, this whole post is wrong. The Shawn Michaels thing has already been pointed out. However, Bret Hart made his WWF television debut on August 29, 1984. Wrestlemania I took place on March 31, 1985. So, while he didn't compete at the event, Bret Hart was on the roster.

OKAY, fine, most of the talent in question there weren't on the roster yet. Sheesh, excuse me for not having picture perfect memory of the roster at the time of shows 28 and 18 years ago, the first of which was five years before I was even born. ...now just wait for someone to come in and correct that, too.

The main event of WrestleMania 20 featured three guys who weren't even on the roster yet at WrestleMania 10. Er... not quite. If you want to get technical about it, WWE recognizes Kane vs Undertaker as the main event of WM XX. I'm serious.

I am thinking Booker just picked the top guys in his Fave Five But he didn't say there would be a Royal Rumble match at Mania 40.

I find it funny you make an argument to show the holes in one point, only to get upset when the giant, crater size holes in your argument are pointed out. Those holes being that basically everything you said is wrong.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs Hollywood Hulk Hogan for control of the company? Sure, I'd watch it.

He didn't say that one of them would be Roman Reigns, therefore he'll be wrong.

When Cyber-Hogan drops the leg and it completely crushes his opponent's head? A thing of beauty. Classic Cyber-Hogan. Dolph Ziggler couldn't even headline a flea market wrestling show in the Glork galaxy, brother.

Based on past patterns, I'm guessing it'll consist of someone who is currently either a curtain jerker or NXT guy, alongside a guy who hasn't been signed yet but is making waves on the independents.

I would say Ambrose is on a short list of wrestlers who could conceivably catch lightning in a bottle between now and 2024 to become THE GUY.
Rollins and Reigns also have realistic chances. The Shield is just amazingly talented.
Cena, Bryan, and Punk could all have retirement runs leading up to the event.
Dolph may have been lingering in the mid-card for years, but he's still got a spark left in him. Stranger things have happened, and I'd be thrilled to see Dolph go away for few years, then return around 2019 as a grizzled vet and go on a tear with the WWE title. Benoit and Eddie languished for as long, if not longer.
