Very pleased at the Avs season so far, and Roy has been a very surprising coach so far. Hopefully they can keep it up, because a 10-1 Avs team isn't something I thought I'd see in a long time. Keep in mind I'm still relatively new to paying attention to hockey (my parents have been Avs fans forever, but I couldn't ever get into hockey), but I know enough about the past few seasons to know that 10-1 is God damn good for this team. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) A bit of sincere advice here. Go to an actual Avs game when you get a chance. There's nothing quite like a live hockey game. This is even truer with a high-flying team like the Avs. Saw them at the United Center against the Hawks a few days after they picked up Theo Fluery(so the team I saw was loaded). They did not play like they were capable of against a pretty poor Hawks team. It made me sad. I really want to see a game at the Pepsi Center or where ever they are now.

Good win for the Devils tonight 2-1 against the Lightning. Jaromir Jagr gets his career 119th game winning goal, which puts him ahead of Phil Esposito for the most career GWG's in NHL history.

Down 4-2, and with Khabibulin pulled, Crow came in, and The Captain produced the magic to defeat the Sens 6-5.
So far, I don't think the Hawks have been excellent, but somehow we pick up points. The good thing is that there's three days off before the trip to Winnipeg, so hopefully we put in a real good performance there.

Why hasn't Kevin Lowe been fired? Why is Conner McDavid (who is supposedly going get the Crosby hype) draft eligible in 2015? How long until Craig MacTavish makes himself the new head coach in Edmonton? Why am I still watching games and commentating on FAN after? Is there something seriously wrong with me? Are the Oilers the worst hockey franchise of the past 20 years?

That stat is wrong as Gordie Howe has 3 more GWGs I think 2 more actually. And yeah every site that reported that its an NHL record is right now correcting the mistake.

DUDE!
That might shoot his Olympic hopes down, and hurt the Avs big time. But at least he turned himself in. Still, DUDE!

Seriously how the f*** is Khabibulin still employed in the NHL and why the hell did the Blackhawks pick him up?

espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/9905014/semyon-varlamov-colorado-avalanche-arrested-domestic-abuse-caseDENVER -- Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov surrendered to Denver police on an arrest warrant on charges of kidnapping and third-degree assault in what authorities are calling a domestic violence incident. Police released few details about the case Wednesday night during a brief news conference and declined to elaborate, other than to say it involved someone who Varlamov was in an intimate relationship with. Sgt. Steve Warneke said the Russian goalie went to police Wednesday at about 6 p.m. "The Colorado Avalanche organization is aware of the allegations concerning Semyon Varlamov," the team said in a statement. "At this time, and until the conclusion of this investigation, the Avalanche organization will have no further comment on this situation." Added the NHL in a statement: "The League is aware of the situation involving Semyon Varlamov. We will not comment unless or until we have a fuller understanding of all of the facts and circumstances related to the legal charges that have been filed."

What's with goalies being crazy and always involved in domestic violence/affairs? Well many pro athletes have affairs so I don't think that's exclusive to goalies
