Now that's having faith in your relationship! Faith is great, and if he had no faith, he wouldn't let her move in at all, but prenups exist because most people would not expect their relationship to fail. If it does, they can avoid a legal battle and the split can be clean as possible for both sides, and they can move on with their lives and not have to look at each other as "that asshole who ruined my life", but just their ex.

Most of that show is scripted, I'm guessing the drama about Cena making Nikki sign that document is too.

Had his girlfriend sign a document that was like a mental state prenup? I mean I get it from a save your wealth point of view but combined with the weird gag rule on his divorce...it just rings kinda sleezy if I'm profiling. I don't see what's sleezy about legally protecting your assets. Romantic relationships are a very mercurial thing that you shouldn't tie up your finances into. She's not being forced to sign the contract, if Nikki doesn't like it then she is free to walk. Ah, true love, sealed with a binding contractual agreemetn. I don't get why a legally binding contract like a pre-nup is seen as cold and cynical but a legally binding contract like the marriage the prenup is for isn't. There is a "pre-nup" for being roommates? Depending on where you live, living together may give your partner some legal rights over your stuff most people wouldn't assume to be possible. Not sure if it applies to roommates or only explicitly relationships, but yeah. Yes, commonlaw marriage and palimony. I remember there was an SNL sketch from an episode hosted by Steve Forbes in which he and a couple other male cast members played a group of roofers on break and Colin Quinn's character mentions moving out of the apartment he shared with his girlfriend. When his co-workers express concern over the fact that he broke up with his girlfriend, Quinn's character assures them that he didn't break up with his girlfriend, he just mooved out to skirt commonlaw marriage and then complains what a bitch it is since he had to move out three times in the twenty-seven years he's been with his girlfriend. I imagine Cena doing something like this to avoid another divorce.

"Some of these scenes have been created for Entertainment Purposes" is the disclaimer that they have to air before most American reality shows here in the UK. I don't see how this needs to be pointed out though, its obvious reality TV is a work. Everything on TV is a work, even Documentaries.

Only something as redundant and ridiculous as marriage could warrant something as contradictive and equally ridiculous as a prenup.

I'd like to remind people that a prenup does not neccessarily mean "YOU GET NOTHING IF THIS ENDS!" Very few people would ever agree to that.
What it means is that it sets the terms of breaking up, and could be any level of generous or stingy. Sometimes they set specific limits, while other times, they go by percentage. If you have millions, you probably will even wind up getting more money or property than you would if it turns into a huge legal battle and you're choked in fees.
I guess I can see where prenups are unromantic, but are bitter breakups where people fight tooth and nail for every dime and seethe with spite romantic? I would never want someone I married to ever want to dissolve the marriage, nor would I ask someone to marry me if I didn't feel it would last, but short of Elizabeth Taylor before she died, who gets married knowing they will probably end it quickly?

I didn't see all of this preview when it aired because the DVR cut off right at the last 10 seconds. But apparently, John Cena, when asking Nikki to move in, actually has papers drawn up and has her sign. In case she turns out to be crazy or a psycho bitch, she can't mess with him. Truly, John Cena: Greater than Flair and Hogan. What about Kevin Nash?

But most people I know who watch and love reality shows (like those on E! and VH1), think it's all real. And ironically, none of them would watch wrestling because it's "fake".
