Here is what I would of done if I were running the business:
- Instead of taking Impact on the road week to week I leave the Impact Zone and relocate to another studio. This would be my home base and would have a new fresh audience coming in week to week.
- Each Pay Per View is going to be on the road even the smaller ones. You run the towns that TNA ran Impact in and give them a Pay Per View. Maybe you draw 2-3 thousand but that's still an okay crowd and you're testing the waters and not losing as much as taking Impact.
- I ask Spike TV if every 3 months we can have a TV special. This would be a special 3 hour show and I'd tape an Impact after it. This would also be a test to see how TNA does on the road. If the TV specials can draw 4000-5000 I seriously consider taking TNA on the road. If they're 2000-3000 (Which they probably would be) I'd wait it out a little bit
- As the company grows I use these two plus occasional TNA House Shows to test markets. The way I'd test it is give those local areas every star they see on TV so yes, Hulk and Sting would be doing an occasional House Show. In the area's where I can draw 2000-3000 for a House Show I'm going there for a TV special and eventually a PPV.
- This would take years and years but you'd save so much money and it's simply "levelling up" to it and testing the waters. TNA threw itself in the deep end and is now slowly dog paddling back to the shallow end.

My thoughts are they should have stayed in the Impact Zone for a while and concentrated on marketing better FIRST.
Unless someone tells you, or you are actively seeking out wrestling on TV other than WWE to watch, there's still very little reason to know TNA exists. They need to fix that. This, more than anything, is why they can't seem to move ratings much.
TNA promoting is abysmal across the board imo. I wonder how many more people would have attended their house shows if they actually knew there WAS a house show in their town.
