It's just Hogan being Hogan brother. You shouldn't take that too seriously, the guy is just living on a different planet than us. I wouldn't mind seeing him come back as far as he's not wrestling. I could see Hogan come back, start a speech in the ring, the Shield music hits, they're about to beat him up, Bryan and other make the save, Hulk legdrops Rollins, Ambrose makes a goofy face, Reigns pulls his hair, people are happy, cut to break. I'm relatively sure Hulk's entire body would implode if he tried to drop the leg today. The arena and the whole city would probably implode brother, but the hulkster would be the only survivor brother. |

You know what the perfect way to use Hogan in WWE would be? Have him replace (the clearly burnt out) Lawler as the face color commentator.
WWE can give him one tribute episode of Raw to punctuate his return, and from that point on he gets to be on every show in the same role Savage was in 1992/1993, without crowding up any major storylines, overshadowing any younger stars or having to work a match and risk paralyzation. If one Megapower can do it, it shouldn't be a step down for the other.

Totally agree with Hogan here - if you've got him on the card, it's pretty much a given that everything else is going to seem like an "also-ran" after the main event (see: Wrestlemania 18, in which I can't even remember what the match after Hogan/Rock was). Also, Summerslam 2005 did a great buyrate headlined by Hogan. I remember reading that Summerslam 2005 was the highest non-WM buyrate at the time since Royal Rumble 2002. So for Hulk to show up and draw their biggest non-WM buyrate in three and a half years probably justified his opinion at the time. Summerslam 2006 did about 100,000 buys less than Summerslam 2005, so again, maybe Hulk at a legit beef that he was an undercard match and not in a more high profile one where they could have centered the show around him. That's not a good argument to make considering nobody who got the PPV knew what the card order was before ordering it. |

It appeared after Summerslam 2005, they were trying to build Hogan/Austin for WM In 2006, but that fizzled out. Going from Michaels and potentially Austin to a still-too-young Orton was a pretty steep drop. |

I'm okay with Hogan never appearing on WWE television again. I've honestly never saw the appeal and am baffled why he was so over. There are other guys I never liked, such as Rock and Rey but I could at least see their appeal. Hogan... was just baffling to me.

He will do public appearrances for wwe and their various campains. Video games, be a star, cancer awareness. Hogan is one of the best hype men. He also does not get drunk before public appearances like Ric Flair.

Hogan will be back. he needs the money. and you know damn well he isn't stupid enough to bury the product while he's working for Vince. I also doubt that at his age and in his condition he'll be used for much more than the occasional guest appearance. and as for his mach with Orton, it was a pretty heatless feud and it was probably exactly where it should've been on the card. say what you will about the DX reunion tour vs. Vince and Shane, the feud had a lot of good heat going for it and was one of the few times Triple H could legitimately be considered a big draw.

How is Hogan on commentary? There's a lot of good talkers (which hogan obviously is one) that can go into the booth and hype a particular storyline well but weren't/wouldn't be good full time commentators.
I don't think I've actually heard him do any guest commentary before, or I don't remember if I did. I only watch Impact once in a blue moon so if he did anything there I almost surely missed it.

Its on Daily motion, the crowd are into McMahons+BigShow Vs DX. They are quiet in parts, but its a long HIAC, so what do you expect. Crowd was definitely into the Hogan match. Thats all kind of irrelevant to me though. Hogan @ his age should be looking to raise the current card up, not shit all over it. Why did he go over Orton? Because his ego is to massive. That Hell in the cell match happened on a different PPV. |
