He metaphorically is, though. He's a false prophet. His entire doctrine is disingenuous, but masked under the illusion of righteousness. He's bemoaning civilization's sheep mentality, whilst being surrounded by those who follow him blindly. He's a hypocrite and a liar and a manipulator, but plays it as if he is the opposite. He's the very definition of wolf wearing sheep's clothing in the biblical sense. Edit: That said, this entire "devil" scenario is my own hypothesis, and there's no absolute proof that it is where WWE is going. It was speculation on my part based on a few interesting coincidences (Bray not being afraid of fire; His demonic spider-walk; his promo on Kane and the 'Devil's favorite demon' and how Kane should watch what he says because you never know who might be listening, etc.) I think my problem with this is he's playing it like okay yeah he knows the truth, but he's not trying to actually convince anyone. He only preaches to the already converted basically. Like the Westboro Baptist Church I agree with that. It's hard to really know what the point or end result is supposed to be.

There's a limit on how much kidnapping, torture, murder, and rape you can do in a PG environment.

Of Ken Shamrock being an MMA guy? Of Rikishi dressing vaguely like a sumo? Bossman being a cop? The Godfather being a pimp and Val Venis a porn star? It informs his character, not his storyline. It's a reason why he is sort of preachy in his promos and has a couple of big scary lackies.

Gangrel, at least in the beginning, was about reuniting with Edge (along with Christian) with the strong implication that they had been all part of the same vampire covenant. And Bossman was always addressed as a former prison guard for years. With the implication that he was let go for being too brutal. None preached though like Wyatt. His entire persona seems to be more Ravenesque than anything else. Yet, he isn't growing his flock, and his message and intentions aren't really clear. I think they'll fix that though once Kane comes back and Undertaker potentially gets involved.

How is being a former prison guard an endgame?

Of Rikishi dressing vaguely like a sumo? Rikishi is often used to describe sumo dudes, something about power, I forget the translation. It's similar to how Yokozuna was the name of a rank in sumo. I assumed both wearing a mawashi was a nod to that or Rikishi wore it as a nod to Yoko, seeing as Yokos gimmick was more closely tied to sumo.

How is being a former prison guard an endgame? Nailz beating Bossman half to death brought it all full circle. And it was really his last actual feud with that gimmick Gangrel never preached like Wyatt. He was just a wrestler who happened to be a vampire ( or, as they put it, "Gothic lifestyle"). I don't think I ever even heard him even cut a promo in WWF. But like I said, I think the Wyatt agenda will be fleshed out soon with Kane and eventually Taker.

I'm hoping there's a bigger agenda or arc.

They're boring and can't wrestle I know that.
No clue why everyone was creaming over these guys.

I'll give you Rowan and maybe even Harper (though some people say he's good for a big guy), but Bray/Husky is a beast. I've said it before, but I liked Husky ever since NXT2. He was my favorite. He's like Umaga except that his gimmick doesn't restrict him from talking.

Things haven't moved along much with the Wyatts yet, and I'm fine with that as long as it leads to something big and more defined. In the meantime I'm enjoying their work a lot, but I can see how people find it underwhelming because they haven't really done much yet. At least they're not wrestling a bunch of 6 man tags and doing 3 man beatdowns on every show. That worked great for The Shield, and I feared the Wyatts would just do the same thing. By the way, love the whole theory on Bray = Satan, it's enhanced my enjoyment of the group a lot already. I think it's kind of like CM Punk's SES Jesus gimmick where the undertones are there but they're not going to come out and say it explicitly.

On the plus side if Frank Costanza and Kramer ever get back into the bra business they can probably agree on "the Bray" as the name of their bra for men.
