A two hour wrestling show with, what, seven minutes of wrestling on it? Because we can't have wrestling on our talking segment show. Horrible. Awful. Terrible. Long-winded. And in hindsight, incredibly pointless.
Let us reminisce about one of the worst episodes of wrestling television ever committed to broadcast.

I don't think 'one of the worst' is the term I would use to describe it
..oh wait, yes it is.

A friend of mine who didn't see it tried to tell me that a wrestling program couldn't be anywhere near as bad as how I'd described it to him. So I pretty much told him to watch it for himself. Later on, having watched it, he told me that yeah, it was as bad as how I'd described it.
Seriously, I've watched more than my fair share of awful wrestling, and that is still THE WORST WRESTLING PROGRAM I HAVE EVER SEEN. I only liked one thing from it, and ironically enough that was a promo (Mickie's).

I only liked one thing from it, and ironically enough that was a promo (Mickie's). The Impact following Bound For Glory the following year, gives it a run for it's money. I don't know which one is worse. The Rock Birthday Raw would be up there, but Miz and Cena had a hell of a match, so that keeps it out of this category.

I liked the idea of what they were trying to do but the execution was terrible. The Aces and Eights Explanation episode was how something like this should have been done, I...oh man the 10/14/10 show was horrible. Immortal Talking, Angle Talking, JWoww Talking and on and on and on. Dull.

I just remember THAT promo, nothing else. Everything else that happened on that show is just wiped from my mind. Oh well, at least they tried with heel Hardy and Hogan, I guess.

Wouldn't there need to be wrestling on a wrestling show for it to be classified as a wrestling show?

That show was like a promo that was as aggressive as Alberto Del Rio not releasing the armbar. I kept tapping but they wouldn't stop.

I just remember THAT promo, nothing else. Everything else that happened on that show is just wiped from my mind. Well, it's not like there was much else on that show. Aside from a reenactment of the Fingerpoke of Doom and a Jersey Shore crossover going head to head with Jersey Shore itself.

Any show that starts off with a long speech where a guy first says, "You never saw it coming - we fooled you ALL!" is usually indicator of a really bad show......in 2002. In 2010 it was just embarrassing.
Same with the Bully Ray speech about Aces & 8's a few years later.

I don't remember seeing this episode ever but 7 minutes of wrestling seems pretty bad.
I remember back in 2006 watching a Smackdown episode that had just 2 matches though (It was the one where Kurt Angle won the World Heavyweight Title) at least TNA had more then 2 matches.

I've seen plenty worse 90s indie wrestling shows on local tv, but granted most of those shows were only 30 minutes to an hour. There have been some rotten Smackdown shows, some insanely bad Thunder shows (actually, most would qualify after about mid 98), but yeah I'd say this was one of the worst episodes of TNA on Spike.

Oh god this show. It just went on, and on, AND ON. It's almost as though it was written this badly on purpose, because not one person with an inkling of a clue would have wrote this bullshit with the intention of entertainment, not without SOMEONE telling him it sucked at least. Are you telling me no one who worked there went to Russo or Hogan and said "this is a horrible idea dude"? Just an astonishing piece of wrestling television for all the wrong reasons.

If your promo needs a commercial break, you messed up.

Even Triple H thought the promos were too long. 95% percent of the show was talking and the matches that did happen were short and totally forgettable. And don't forget the ReAction the following week where they explain for a hour on how simple the ruse was. Because spending the previous Impact explaining it wasn't enough.

IIRC the first match was the Fingerpoke of Doom KO's edition or something thereabouts.

Admittedly, those two matches both went 25 minutes each (Orton (subbing for Booker T) v Benoit for the US Championship and the battle royal for the vacant World Heavyweight Championahip that was won by Angle).
