Not for the amount of money it seems has taken them to get him. No matter how little WWE were offering him it would probably still be more than what TNA can reasonably afford to pay out at this juncture, the money would have been better used locking down the recognizable and over home grown TNA talent. Then with the money they're saving reach out to guys who might be able to come in and help the company grow and give them a decent wage to do so.

I'm a Hogan fan, and I thought he should have gone back to the WWE for WM 30.
But the guy has to make his money with all his personal issues (divorce, etc).
There is really no benefit for either side at this point. Hulk's done all he can do in TNA.

Still a rumor. I guess I'd be disappointed if at this critical time TNA feels like Hogan is a good investment, when all markers of business declined from when he entered to when he left. I really do want TNA to live, and I want to see them make decisions that work toward that outcome. I don't think this one would.

Wow. I was hoping for a WM30 appearance, especially based on those positive comments from HHH about him, but I guess that's out.

Can't say I'm surprised, he's walked out on them one too many times and HHH isn't a huge mark for him so he'll get nowhere near as much leeway as Ric Flair has. Maybe in his second stint he can knock another few hundred thousand from the ratings and get them down to a nice round 0.8.

I was hoping for a historic appearance at WM30 with maybe Cena, Austin, and Sammartino. I can't blame Hogan for taking what TNA is foolish enough to pay him though. But from the little bit that's left in me that grew up with Hulkamania, I can't say I'm not disappointed in WWE for not working something out. Even if I know they're not crazy enough to pay him millions.

I think it is telling how little Hogan is valued in WWE these days, and only Hulk Hogan can blame himself for his value being so low.

if they're having such financial hardships right now, where the hell did this money come from? I mean, aren't the Rock and Lesnar making like 5 mil a piece?
also, I'm glad WWE lowballed him. maybe he'll realize what little his real value is to the industry these days. but probably not. now while TNA's paying him their entire payroll.

I'm disappointed. Not that I think he ruins the product or anything, but I really wanted to see him in the WWE again.

I think that Spike/Viacom is footing the bill on this one like last time. If TNA's financial hardships are to be believed, I find the idea that they could offer more than WWE could, dubious.
It would also explain why he can appear on WWE Programming/Video Games, and hardly promotes TNA in other appearances. He's not "contracted" to TNA, he's contracted to Spike

Hulk's alright, but he was mailing it in something fierce lately. I just don't see the benefit in bringing him back for a pretty high wage at this point. We'll see I guess.

Hmm....let's see. Math time. So, if Lesner's contract for the year was 30-40 dates for 5 million dollars total, according to this Yahoo article, and we use the low end of the numbers, 1 use of Lesnar costs WWE 167,000 bucks, rounded up. If we go by the 40 number, it's 125,000. Thus, Hogan's getting around 125,000 to 167,000 bucks a year, I think. Still seems like a lot, even though I'm guessing Spike pays a good chunk of it, but compared to the older reporting of 35,000 PER APPEARANCE from Davey Dave Meltzer, and Shane Douglas saying it was as high as 65,000 per in an interview after Hardcore Justice, that's a lot of depreciation of value.

So a company with money issues brings back a guy for what probably amounts to at max a half-million dollars, all the while they can't afford to keep talent that can actually work.
