If memory serves, that one's for the FAN Forums Championship. Which, if I go the route I'm planning, would be the next belt up. Oh, this is tempting....

I believe the finale of the best of 7 series deserves a nomination.

This gives me the idea of posting a "2013 Matches of the Year" show hosted by two dubiously qualified characters. Every nominated match is posted with a host segment.

I APPROVE OF THIS. Gives us a fairly easy show to quote-unquote close out the 2013 season with, because with the rate we're going at, it'll be 20 14 until it's posted. If such an event happens, I would assume that both Anti and I would like to handle hosting duties for our Wheel of Misfortune match.

Indeed. Eh, f*** it, we'll do it live.
So what's the list of nominees so far?
And who should be the general hosts outside of members who write host segments for matches involving them? Jesse King and Tim Hoss are too easy. Maybe we should dig Jerry Fish and Michael Gettenpill from out of the mothballs for this.

NOMINEES ARE: The Costume Battle Royal (NiteRaw, don't know which) (Written by BRB) Gus Richlen vs. Seth Drakin (Richlen's Career vs. Shaelin's Freedom, Night of the Wrestling Zombies) (Written by Gus) Gus Richlen vs. Seth Drakin (Lord of the Ring, Written by Aaron Enigma) NOTE: Was that for the Inter-Forums Championship? I'm pretty sure it had something on the line. The Dream Team vs. The Cult of the End (Tag Team Championships, NiteRaw, E-Day Week 3) (Written by BRB)
Seth Drakin vs. "Hollywood's Own" Michael Hayden vs. Gus Richlen ("I Respect You" Match for the FAWA World Championship, Wheel of Misfortune) (Written by Mr. Socko's Brother, I think) "The General of Wrestling" William Anderson vs. "Hollywood's Own" Michael Hayden (FAN Forums Championship Match, Battle Bowl) (Written by Waffel113) Seth Drakin vs. Jonathan Michaels (Hell in a Cell, GookerMania VI) (Written by Seth Drakin, I think) The Hydra of Evil vs. The Hollywood Enigmas (Twilight Match for the Vacant Tag Team Championships, Wheel of Misfortune) (Written by Misc) The Dream vs. Ryan Blood (Television Championship Match, NiteRaw, don't remember which) (Written by Mr. Socko's Brother) Antihero vs. Scott Martin (Lego Death Match, Best of 7 Finals, Wheel of Misfortune) (Written by Antihero, Commentary by Waffel113)

Well if you insist.
Replaced it with Anderson/Hayden from Battle Bowl. That was a really fun match to write, and it seems like a few people liked it well enough.

In the process of gathering links to each of the matches. After I do so, I'll confer with BRB about sending out a PM so we can vote on which match was the best of the year, because I'm serious about doing this.

Perhaps the opening Best of Seven as well. Shows how far they've come since then.

So do we have any word on the next card? Let's see.... Other than Richlen vs. Hayden III, not sure. The General has been absent a while, too. He's still Forum Champion, right?

The holiday season has concluded so let's get back on track. First, I think we should vacate the FAN Forums championship as per the rules. The holidays give some leeway, but only so much. That means we have to find a new FAN Forums Champion and a new World Heavyweight Champion. If things work out we have the Lord of the Ring Tournament coming up too. What to do? Before I present my plan, here's food for thought: what if we retired the Television Championship and extended the streak rules to all exhibition bouts? If anyone on the roster wins, say, 4 Exhibition bouts in a row they get a FAN Forums Title shot. If they can win 8 exhibition bouts they get a World Heavyweight Title shot. I say 4 and 8 because that's essentially 1 month and 2 months, even if their matches might not be consecutive. I may be biased towards my idea but I think it makes every exhibition match an opportunity and it gives a fundamental motivation to every contestant on top of any pre-existing rivalries or feuds. Anyone could get that lucky month of matches and get to the top, not just the TV Champion. Furthermore, it's one fewer title, which makes the other three more valuable. Also gives room for a Women's title should it occur. So let's say we agree to retire the TV Title. What to do about Hayden/Richlen 3-D? Well, if we vacate the FAN Forums Title, they could just be bumped up to compete for that perhaps. On the other hand, if we retire the TV Title and we vacate the FAN Forums Title and we still don't have a World Heavyweight Champion, I think we have the recipe for a kick-ass Lord of the Ring Tournament. Assuming nothing else, it could involve our World Heavyweight Title contenders (Seth Drakin and Jonathan Michaels) and our current TV Title contenders (Gus Richlen and Michael Hayden). All are former World Heavyweight Champions to boot. Now who else do we have? Going by user activity we still have Antihero, David McLaren, The Dream, and Scott Martin - none of which have held the World Heavyweight Title. There's also Jeremy Dupoe and Disturbance!BRB, who surely would try to get into the tournament as a means to acquire the top titles now that they lost the Tag Titles. So let's take a look for a moment: Seth Drakin Jonathan Michaels Gus Richlen Michael Hayden Antihero David McLaren The Dream Scott Martin Jeremy Dupoe Disturbance At this point I think it's fair to say we cut Anthony Travizzo and Jan Hamala from the roster along with William Anderson due to inactivity. If they speak up then I will correct that. It's basically the whole FAWA Roster in this tournament but it's not a multiple of four (4, 8, 16, 32, etc), so here's my suggestion: Round Robin tournament rules. That or Swiss Rules. The roster is small enough to have them all face each other over the next several weeks to determine the ultimate World Heavyweight Champion and the ultimate FAN Forums Champion. It would dominate the shows while it goes on, but the booking should be easier. So in summary, we scrap earlier booking plans and start the Lord of the Ring tournament. This year it will be for the World Heavyweight and FAN Forums Titles rather than for title shots. The Television Title will be retired in favor of a more competitive streak-based exhibition system.

Hmmm....that does sound like an intriguing idea. But since we know how the world title will be decided in this, how will the Forums Title be decided?

Sounds like a cool idea to me. Also I can vouch for ratetankmark being active as we've been working on a match for the next show together as recently as three days ago.

Good question. That part I'm still trying to work out. Maybe if we employed a point system, the second highest scorer gets the FAN Forums Title.
Let's say that every victory scores something like 3 points while every loss nets 0. Highest possible score is 27 and only one guy could ever get that. If someone gets a score like that, you have your World Heavyweight Champion.
Now we could go with the second highest scorer period but that could end up in a match where the stakes are that winning means the World Heavyweight Championship but losing means the FAN Forums Championship which is not good for a title.
My solution to this is that in the final round, the match with the overall highest total points between contestants is for the World Heavyweight Championship while the match with the second overall highest total points between contestants is for the FAN Forums Championship. This way both titles are earned by being won rather than one of them being a consolation prize.

Jan Hamala joins the tourney then. I do recall Hulk (Comedian) working with RTM as well. Just haven't seen posts personally from RTM for some time.
