I expect one of them to move release dates. It would be stupid not to. The question is who backs down? I don't see Marvel backing down from this fight. If they move the date then it's because they need more time to finish the movie. If DC does, it's because they're scared.

well out of Batman/Superman and Cap 3 i can tell you which one im actually looking forward too and it doesnt involve Zack Synder It's not even a knock on Snyder for me, I enjoyed MoS but DC doesn't have Marvel's track record. Cap 3 is almost guaranteed to be good, I highly doubt I'll leave disappointed. BvS is a crapshoot.

We know 2015 is the official release date for Avengers: Age of Ultron. So we have confirmation that Captain America 3 is the first Marvel film for Phase 3 then?
Phase 3 so far is looking like: Captain America 3, Ant-Man, rumored Doctor Strange, possibly Thor 3, and rumored Black Panther?

I don't know what you are going for, but DEFCON 5 actually means there is no cause for alarm. It's the most calm DEFCON there is. In all fairness, I live in the UK so I have no idea how much the danger level is for the US. I can understand what you're going for here. But to put it another way I'm basically pumped beyond all levels for Winter Soldier. It's amazing considering Winter Soldier was the film I was least excited for in Phase 2 and now (aside from Age of Ultron) it's the most anticipated movie for me ever since I saw the first trailer.

Sorry to double post but I saw an article today that said Batman vs. Superman was being released in Brazil the week before the original release date and that it might get moved to that date worldwide. Unfortunately I can't find the article, but if I was forced to put money on it eitherway I would say Batman vs. Superman is more likely to move the release date. I just don't have more faith in Warner Bros than I do in Marvel Studios unfortunately.

But if Captain America is the only competition that Superman vs. Batman would have why would they be afraid? Let's be honest. The Superman vs. Batman film would be the first time they've appeared on screen together in a live action format.
I feel that feeling and image alone would propel it to success. Of course, if the film is horrible, which is a huge possibility unfortunately, one can safely assume that there will be a lot of disappointed fans and the general public would be upset too. I guess what I am trying to say is this would be the second time the WB has changed a release date.
I can understand them moving the Batman/Superman film away from Avengers: Age of Ultron. A sequel to an amazing film, including a killer villain, and a great storyline was a sure sign that it was going to be massacred.

That way, it'd be sandwiched inbetween the two Marvel movies coming in '16.

I'm sure that Batman/Superman will still make huge earnings, but after Man of Steel got fairly "meh" reviews plus the whole "Ben Affleck is Batman" thing being a sore spot for people, I wouldn't be surprised if WB didn't want the added pressure of competition with Marvel.

Hm. Well, that's interesting. But, uh...I don't see where they're gonna go with this. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{POTENTIAL MOVIE SPOILERS}If this goes how the comics did, it's a little too early for Chris Evans to die. So...what the hell are they gonna do with him for SEVEN MORE movies?

More than likely it's a way of locking an actor into a specific pay scale to avoid the RDJ situation where they had to pay out hell of a lot more than they wanted to for him to do more pictures. Also keep in mind that a 30-second cameo counts as one picture.

RDJ's cameo in Hulk did however, as did Sam Jackson's in Thor. My guess is they had a bit more bargaining power than Evans.

I love Mackie the more and more I see of him, both on screen and off. He is talented and has a great personality to boot. Hopefully this is his breakthrough film to get him to the next level.

The embargo has been lifted for reviews. No perfect on RT, but the two rotten reviews are 3/5 reviews, so...confliction.

I think Marvel films will start to face critic backlash soon, if not right now, just because they have been so good critics always start to turn on things when they reach the apex of their popularity.
I'm constantly hearing this is a good movie, with the only downside being some modern day political message being stamped on some scenes and it feeling a bit too stamped on.
I'm also hearing it's another movie with a post credits scene that is worth staying for. Really worth staying for.

Saw an advanced screening last night. I can say with full confidence that this is one of Marvel's best films, I'd place it right next to Iron Man, above The Avengers. Everyone gets a chance to shine; Falcon does a fantastic job, and the Winter Soldier is a well executed character. Plus the best part is that the action sequences were easy to watch and they were all great to observe. This film changes everything within the MCU, and I'll leave it at that without giving too much away. The wait for Age of Ultron is going to be killer because I want to see where we will go from here. I also won a poster at the screening that was signed by the cast If you want anything answered specifically, shoot me a PM (I'm away from a computer so I can't spoil tag). EDIT: Two credit scenes (like The Avengers and Thor 2), and both are fantastic.
