What he needs to do is cut a promo addressing all those who claim he stole Dean Ambrose's finisher -

This is why I am not a fan of giving new guys gimmicks attached to another character. I get that the gimmick is to emphasize nepotism, but it limits EC3's potential once the storyline changes (in this case if Dixie and the Carter's are no longer around).
They can probably just change his last name and give a kayfabe reason for it. Or keep the name and remove the Dixie aspect out of the character. Worst case.

Selling the company wouldn't make him any less of an elitist rich jerk I don't think. If anything, selling the company makes the Carter family richer and part of the negotiation of selling the company was that Ethan Carter III cannot be fired. |

It doesn't have to. If Dixie goes, they could do a deal where part of selling it meant some sort of neat contract for Ethan Carter. Whether he can make matches, choose opponents, choose title matches, all that fun stuff.
