Just like CM Punk was absorbed in homoeroticism with Heyman, Cena's about outdo him and get into some freaky stuff with his feud with Del Rio too. I hear Illinois ham sandwiches will be involved. I googled Illinois Ham Sandwich. I'm frightened. How anyone can find chewing in that area tolerable, let alone pleasurable is unfathomable to me.

I was going to say he was probably with Bryan at the "medical facility" after his attack since Brie would obviously be there and where Brie goes Nikki goes and Nikki would make Cena go with her too. But then I remember that the Bellas had a match 20 minutes after Bryan's attack and I don't know if they even showed any concern over what happened. They showed Brie being upset for two seconds before magically being fine a split second later. Having AJ beat on her and being in a match probably distracted her a little bit. Could be wrong though.

...why didn't he address the complete corporate bullshit that's been going on since he left? It is after all the elephant in the room. Discuss. The same reason the rest of the roster was fine letting Cena take on the Nexus by himself. But seriously, up until now there's been complaint after complaint over Big Show shoeing in on Bryan's thunder. Now people want Cena to get involved too?

Either he doesn't get in this angle and looks like a hypocrite, or he does get in this angle and steals Daniel Bryan's thunder.

Cena's non-involvement is a lot like CM Punk's non-involvement. it makes no sense when you think about it, makes massive plot-holes but Trips has a story to tell and he's going to tell it his way.

I still stand by my theory that he's with the authority. I mean, Trips can blow as much smoke as he wants, Orton's not the face of anything short of Bad Facial Hair Magazine. Cena's the face and ambassador of the WWE and has been for a while; if there was anyone you'd think their cabal'd be pushing as the role model and superior of the WWE, logic suggests it'd be Cena. The only way it wouldn't is if Cena actively refused the role, in which case this still doesn't make sense, since him stating that the Authority stands against his morals would essentially be putting them on blast - much more that the complete mum he's given on them as of now. But The only reason Cena is the face of the company is because Orton never quite worked out. WWE WANTS Orton to be that guy, but his behavioral issues get in the way. I think both in kayfabe and real life Vince and HHH would gladly throw Cena under the bus if only Orton were the perfect company guy and wasn't such a headache to deal with. They keep Cena around because he makes a lot of money for the company, but the guys in charge would rather it be Randy Orton making all that money for them instead. which of course makes me ask "who cares whose making you a shit-tonne of money? if they're not a scandal waiting to happen and they make money, shut up, be happy about it and go on with your life". only in wrestling. SMH. only in wrestling.

In fairness to Cena, no one's character is consistent in WWE
Bad writing seems to affect everyone.

Because he's a terrible ally. Yoshi Tatsu with Nexus. Zack Ryder with Kane. Ryback with The Shield. Yup, sounds about right.

He's like Captain America, a man who isn't used to the last few months and will follow his own beliefs

Because he's the corporate perfect wrestler and can't go against the hand that feeds him.

because everyone involved in a feud for the World Heavyweight Title exists in another dimension Expect Alberto Del Rio displaying his new aggressive side on Kofi Kingston on a weekly basis and job to Cena at the next 15 PPVs.
