First time i've seen him was when he was a biker. Didn't know that he used to be a soul collecting zombie who can shoot lightning whenever he wants 'till later

First match i ever saw was undertaker v jake roberts at wm8 so in many ways the undertaker is responsible for me loving wrestling.
As has already been said, even as a kid i was however bemused why jake roberts didnt just pin the undertaker after the ddt before trying to get the urn off paul bearer. For a little while i actually thought there might be a rule that you could not pin someone immediately after a ddt.

I can't remember but at first my brother believed that Paul Bearer was Brother Love in different make up.

First time I saw him, I was around 7 and he was putting someone in a bodybag. So naturally, I was scared shitless.

Seeing Undertaker for the first time is almost single-handedly responsible for making me a pro wrestling fan. Dude was so awesome, looked like he stepped straight out of a comic book. Still one of my all time favorites.

The first time I saw him was when he returned as the American bad ass at judgment day 2000
Going in to that show I had never heard of the undertaker
Yet when he showed up my brain was like holy shit that's him Like I knew who he was with out knowing

Told part of this story elsewhere, but my household was a big group of WCW/NWA supporters and greatly disliked all things WWF. So I grew up on that till one day I stumbled upon Randy Savage as a young lad and he fully converted me to the ways of the WWF.
While Savage pulled me in & was the first wrestler I really was drawn to, and Roberts creeped me the heck out, it was the Undertaker that was the second wrestler to do it. I still remember watching his debut and being in awe at him, I had seen him wrestle previously in WCW but it never clicked for me till a few years later. I was both terrified and captivated by this strange, zombie like cowboy guy.
And, when Roberts and him eventually joined forces, that was how I imagine alot of younger fans felt when Austin & Triple H joined forces. It was like bad met evil and I was certain that as much as I loved him, Savage was doomed against those two.

The first time I ever saw him, I didn't even know he was a wrestler. I was about 6 or 7, in '92 I think, knew nothing about wrestling, and he was in a WWF Action Figure commercial on TV. He legit scared the heck out of me. I didn't get into wrestling until 2000, when he was already the American Bad Ass, and I realized "Hey, that's that wrestler from the commercial when I was little!"

I knew him as the Master of Pain in Memphis so I was excited to see a guy I got into when I first started watching wrestling make it to the big time. I liked him as Mean Mark, but he became the Undertaker from that day on.

He's probably the biggest star not to have written a biography. I'm sure it will be kayfabed beyond anything Arn Anderson could write with such topics as:
Early life: I was born in 1962 as Mark Calloway...died September 1990 (no mention of any wrestling company before WWF), came back from the dead on Thanksgiving 1990.
On first manager Brother Love: Ultimate Warrior incapacitated him in early 1991 and he's been rarely seen on TV since.
On feud with Giant Gonzalez: Giant was a half man/half animal brought to WWF by Harvey Wippleman to avenge the loss of Kamala. I defeated him in a lights out match and he left the federation, most likely seen in the wilderness by 'squatch watchers.
On feud with IRS: Irwin R. Shyster came to the federation to rid it of wrestling tax cheats. He still makes an occasional legends appearance when finding time away from his day job of working for Internal Revenue Service.
On feud with Diamond Dallas Page: He must have been an underground, backyard wrestler who watched WWF to the point of feeling the need to stalk my wife. Sara pinned him at King of the Ring 2001. After the crushing defeat, his whereabouts are unknown to this day.

I first saw him in like, July 2000 or whenever Judgement Day was, so my reaction was 'Why is everyone cheering for a fat ginger on a bike?'

Loved the big, unstoppable monsters like Lord Humongous so I took to him really quick. Hated Brother Love's involvement but I loved the UT gimmick.

Piper's reaction was great. He made it feel like a great, new gimmick. With a lot of other gimmicks commentators' reactions showed how silly the gimmick was. I think Undertaker was a unique, not silly, gimmick and given to a guy who played it to perfection. Gorilla's reaction was pretty funny: "I don't know, Rod, I've never seen the guy." One minute later "Tombstone!" Realizes mistake... "I *think* it's a tombstone and it's over for that guy." He had obviously knew what direction the character was going and then realized a viewer may pick up on him knowing and tried to change directions. Kind of like the opposite of "I'm not familiar with Axl...OH THAT Axl!" As far as what I thought of Undertaker, I don't think I thought much about him until a few years later well into his face run, like around 1995. Not anything to do with him because he's a great performer (or actual dead man if he's still playing to the kayfabe) but I was into the much silly gimmicks like Skinner, Berzerker, Repo Man and Nailz. I kind of thought Monsoon made it sound like Tombstone was the standard name of that piledriver

I thought he said it out of turn, as in it wouldn't be revealed until maybe Superstars or Prime Time. And then he realized the mistake and covered it with saying "I think..."
Don Muraco used the same style piledriver for his face run but I don't recall it being called anything special except maybe a reverse piledriver. Tombstone almost has to indicate a move associated with an Undertaker-like character.

If you can justify Undertaker as gimmick then you can justify Papa Shango. And I am saying this cause I thought Papa Shango was way better gimmick than Taker but somehow you have way too many of them "fans" claiming how silly it was.
