JOHN CENA has had a match of the year candidate this year! (Okay it was with Bryan, but still, CENA has had a fantastic match this year) I know we're in that post-SS pre-Rumble dead zone right now where nothing exciting ever happens, but up until that this has been a great year for WWE.

He's had at least three mentioned in this thread alone... Bryan at SummerSlam, Punk on RAW to keep his WM title shot and one against Ziggler at the very beginning of the year.

Cena has been having MOTYC ever since the Edge feud, it is not entirely down to Bryan that he is having them. edit: Cena, I meant Cena.

List above is spot on.
I was waiting for the Shield vs. Hell No/ Kingston to be mentioned. That one blew me away even more than the other 6 man tags.
It also showed Kofi can be good when fired up. They should give him reason to be so more often.

It always amazes me that the WWE is still hit with the "wwe iznt wreslteting!1" (usually from knuckle-dragging YouTube creatures) and they've produced amazing, PPV quality matches on free TV for months now.

List above is great, but I don't see Taker/Hell No vs Shield/Taker vs Ambrose (unless I missed them), understandable with the amount that needed to be mentioned and the fact that you were doing them month by month. Seriously I think we could easily make a Top 50 this year, there is that many

I don't really get into MOTY type rankings, but I will say that last Cena/Punk match may be one of my all-time favorite matches. Everything about it was just perfect.

Honestly, the more I think about it, Cena/Punk might honestly be one of my favorite matches ever. If not, it's at least in the top 3 from the last five years. That Piledriver was one of the best false finishes I've ever seen.
Combine that with Bryan/Cena, Lesnar/Punk, Orton/Bryan, pretty much any Shield six-man tag...it's f***ing ridicolous. WWE is really lucky that their roster is talented enough to tear it up in the ring every week to make up for their piss poor booking.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but Cesaro/Neville on NXT was excellent this year as well. Just about to post the gifs of it in the pics/gifs thread
I would give my right arm for a Neville vs Cesaro vs Zayn on NXT next year

It's incredible that we have nearly 50 legitimately great matches for the calendar year, with one month of TV and PPV still to go. Quality up and down the roster.

Seriously I think we could easily make a Top 50 this year, there is that many And it's also missing Hell No and Cena vs The Shield, not the elimination match, but the standard match between them. Also Usos vs Real Americans vs Tons of Funk elimination triple threat. At the Slammy's, Superstar of the Year should just go to The Shield. Who cares if there are 3 of them, they've been the in ring MVPs of this year.

TLC normally has at least one or two good to great matches on it. It's as reliable as Extreme Rules/MITB match quality wise, if not a little less. I am really interested in what they book for the tag title match

There isn't one match that really stands out above all else for me this year. Don't get me wrong there has been loads of great matches but not one that I would call a classic. Bear in mind I didn't see Summerslam this year so maybe when I do get around to it I might change my opinion. Also never saw the Cody/Goldust v Shield match at Battleground which I've heard great things about.
I have been very impressed though by the high quality of the tag matches involving Punk & Bryan, Uso's, Shield, Real Americans, Wyatt's & Cody/Goldust in the last few months. Last Monday night's main event for example was a joy to watch and the Cody & Goldust/Uso's/Shield triple threat at HIAC was outstanding. The tag division is easily the best thing about WWE right now.

Just watched SD. You can add the Hour Long Rodeo Thanksgiving Marathon Tag Matches to the list as well. I don't even know where to start as far as making/uploading the gifs......
And major props to Cody/Goldust and Reigns/Rollins for being in there the longest in the string of matches.

The 11on3 Raw main event is my MOTY. I also liked the SD! MITB and the Divas SS elimination match. All awesome matches although featured multiple wrestlers.
Santino & Emma vs Fandango & Summer would be my NXT MOTY.

Cena/Punk on RAW. 2nd I'd say was when Bryan handed the Shield their first loss on SmackDown. I forget who he teamed with, Sheamus and Orton?
