I'd certainly be confused but seeing as my most exposure to either of them's seeing Colt Cabana at a random... wanting to say it was a dark match but it might've been a house show and the extent of my knowledge of CJ Parker is his poorly-chosen name, so I'd probably not have much of an opinion on it.

I saw him once live on an ROH show. I was real excited to see him on the bill because I'd heard so much about him ... and upon actually seeing him I thought he was the least interesting thing on the entire show.
El Generico I get, Chris Hero I get, Dem Boys I get.

I find him to be overly obnoxious. His matches are okay if you put them on mute, because I absolutely CANNOT stand the random yelling. I've heard his commentary, and it's like he triest way too hard to be funny instead of just letting what I've heard about his natural wit shine through.
I'd be more mad about them signing Cabana and immediately firing him because I don't want him hired.
