Saw that Princess Twilight review earlier and the one point he made I really liked:
That they had silence during the moments when Twilight thought Celestia was dead and when the others sent Twilight back. How it helped the emotion during that scene.
I agree. And I felt reminded about how one of the complaints about American anime dubs was that they never left a moment of silence. Music had to be on all the time even at times when there was no music in the original.
I hope that has been done away with in today's anime dubs.

Hehehe, that took me back to a decade ago where I was hardcore into anime and when German dubs were very good and I just laughed at the sillyness in the American dubs with their cutting, "frothy mugs of water", disappearing cigarettes and pistols, music change, horrible voices etc.. Of course everything changed when Erfurt happened.  |
