I'd rather not have to sit through 20 minute pre-game promos from Bill Belichick.

Thats already true in the NBA, now that I think about it, David Stem is like the real life evil commissioner. David Stern is the Eric Bischoff to LeBron, Bosh and Wade's nWo. And Roger Goodell is John Laurinaitis.

In order to get re-hired, Richie Incognito buys tickets to Miami games and runs onto the field and attacks players until Roger Godell is forced to lift the suspension to keep a closer eye on him (and possibly to make his life a "living hell!")

There would be an open plan for a major commissioner to screw over the most talented teams solely to get the team with the right image/more star power the title...
*looks at the NBA*
...uh, they would talk about how skilled their drug testing policy is, only to make it become a point where the people who do the right thing and follow it end up punished while the people who fail get rewarded...
*looks at MLB*
...okay, the authority figure would talk in depth about what's best for business, making the company look better to cause problems for the players, while hiding their own hypocrisy...
*looks at the NFL*
...uh, hockey players from Parts Unknown and soccer players who act like evil stereotypes of their country?

That would mean Incognito's a face, which is just wrong.

Incognito was trying to prevent it and was framed.

Referee's get knocked out weekly and miss big TDs, but wake up and see the other team downfield in the end zone and allow the TD.

NBA games would get called significantly more down the middle.

I came on to say that the NBA could have used Nick Patrick as a referee. Don't think the NBA would ever allow a Portland/Indiana Finals or say a Sacramento/Milwaukee Finals(not that there is a chance of that anyway.
