Ted DiBiase, Rick Rude, and William/Steven Regal.
It's crazy to think that there are posters here who were watching JBL "as a kid."

Shawn Michaels. I hated his guts in the 90's (I'm sure Bret Hart being my fave then, and still now, played into it). Whether he was playing the heel or face, whether he was having great matches or not, didn't care, hated him, wanted him to lose every match with the fury of a thousand HBK-Haters.
It probably wasn't until around 2004 or 2005 during his second run that I came to realize that he was probably the best performer I'd ever seen, and at least became a fan of his work, if not necessarily a fan of him all the time.

Double J Jeff Jarrett. He feuded with Razor Ramon back then and I hated his guts.

Bam Bam Bigalow - couldn't stand his matches as a kid, but as an adult, I really appreciate what he did.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan - I always felt it was time for a bathroom break or refill of snacks when he came on. Now, some 25 years later, I really like him. Don "The Rock" Muraco - Man, did I find him dull when I was little, but now I think he was awesome.

Less as a kid and more while I was still a mark, but I hated JBL when he was feuding with Cena. Looking back at it now, I can appreciate it as some good 'ol fashioned heel work.

I also "loved to hate" Bobby Heenan as a kid. I thought he was funny even then (and hated that he made me laugh at his jokes at the expense of the faces), but I can really appreciate now just how much of a genius on the mic and as a manager he really was.

The kiss-stealin', WOO!, wheelin'-dealin', jet flyin', limousine ridin', sonuvagun! I hated horse-faced Ric Flair and all his talk about Space Mountain. Horsemen saving his ass every time he had to defend his belt.

Steve Austin. I absolutely hated him as a kid and pretty much sided with anyone he was against, but a lot of his stuff is pretty damn awesome to look back on.

The Rock basically murdering Mankind at the 1999 Royal Rumble produced a level of hatred out of me that no wrestler has achieved since. Of course that hatred lasted until his face turn that year.

When I was a kid, I despised Owen Hart. I'd just started to enjoy him in my teen years when he passed. Looking back on his work from 1994-1996 makes me realize how entertaining he was. A perfect dickhead heel.

I used to think Malenko was boring and a charisma black hole in 2000, but thats because I hadn't watched WCW. A few years ago I caught a marathon of streaming Nitro's, and completely understood how WWE had miscast him.
Also on those Nitro's, I discovered that Marc Mero was legitimately an awesome all-around wrestler at one point. not a lot of nice things get said about the guy, or things at all now-a-days, but back in WCW he could entertain.

As a kid, I found a lot of the "no-frills tough guys" boring. Bob Orton, Dick Murdoch, Slater, Funk, Race, Gordy, Hansen, those kind. These days though, I enjoy watching their matches more than I do the stuff I did then.

I remember when I first saw WM 5 I thought "Brutus Beefcake is taking on Mr. Perfect? Couldn't they find anyone better for him to wrestle?" Now, when I watch it I feel exactly the opposite.
